A Landfill And A Soccer Field

From The Washington Post:

Some small portions of unidentified human remains recovered from the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa., were incinerated and ultimately dumped in a landfill, the Defense Department acknowledged Tuesday.
This is absolutely unacceptable and those remains should have been handled with respect!.My God,we gave Osama bin Laden a Muslim funeral before we buried him at sea for crying out loud, couldn't we have at least buried these remains as unknown somewhere.

But while we heaved the remains of those who died on 9/11 in a trash pit,we found a way to build a $750 thousand soccer field for those who helped to perpetrate those attacks at Guantanamo. Our priorities are absolutely upside down.

Ron Paul And The Hobbit Conspiracy

The latest conspiracy theory that's being floated around -primarily by the Rick Santorum campaign- is that Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have a secret compact. The secret agreement would have Ron Paul attack only Santorum and Gingrich, leaving Romney untouched and handing him the GOP nomination. In return for this,Mitt Romney would name Ron Paul as his running mate.

This is not only laughable but absurd. From The republican Mother, this quote by Doug Wead, answers this absudity best:

"Ron Paul would throw the Ring of Power into Mount Doom."
"If 22 years of lobbyists, women, and ego temptations in Congress didn't corrupt Ron Paul, you actually think that Mitt Romney can corrupt him?"

The Safe Haven Of Islam

All hell has broken lose in Afghanistan over copies of the Quran being burned 'inadverdtly' by U.S. personnel.President Obama has tried to quell the outrage by offering an apology, saying he intended to hold 'accountable those responsible.'In return the Afghans held 2 U.S. servicemen 'accountable',murdering a colonel and a major.

But were the Korans burned 'inadverdtly' to begin with?It seems that the prisoners at the Parwan Detention Facility were 'exchanging hidden messages' using the Quran.

This is the M.O. for Islamic terrorist world wide. They use the Quran, mosques, and anything assiocated with their religion,to mask and cover their activity's.When their activity's are interfered with, they stand up with outrage in defence of Islam.

Barack Obama, and for that matter George W. Bush, have made a serious mistake by omitting Islam altogether from the war on terror.Instead,we should have drawn a distinction between radical Islam from Islam in general and taken on the radical elements in or out of Islam.

Whether here or Afghanistan,in their mosques or in the pages of th Quran,we have given our enemies a safe haven within our very midst, were they may launch an attack against us.

John Hincley Wants To Be Known For More Than 'The Guy Who Tried To Kill Reagan'

John Hincley is more than a dirt bag who tried to kill the President of the United States. He wants the world to know that he "writes songs, plays guitar, and paints landscapes."

It seems to me that since John Hincley can compose his thoughts into a song, understand the correct chords to play on his guitar, and is able transmit the reality of a landscape unto a canvass with paint, that he would be well able to stand trial for his attempted murder of President Ronald Reagan. Then John Hincley could be known as the man who received justice for his actions.

'Tim Tebow Goes Hollywood'

I knew this was coming, but I'm still sad to see it come.Tim Tebow has hired a Hollywood agency,WME,"for endorsements, public appearances, speaking engagements,TV,film, books, the works -they will even help with his foundation."

Tim Tebow is more than just an athlete.he is an asset and he is seeking to profit from his fame,as he should. The kicker though,is its not just Tim Tebow that seeks to profit from his fame, but corporate America wants in on the action as well.As they invest into Tebow they will seek assurances from him to be less 'offensive.'They will seek to water down his Christianity and soften his moral stances,so he can appeal to more people and help their bottom line.

I sincerely hope Tim Tebow proves me wrong and resists the pressure that will be heaped upon him to change and be like Justin Bieber. But I know, with the amount of money that's going to come his way,the temptation to conform will be almost impossible to resist.

Jermy Lin All American

Here are some,'Dangers Zones',that the Asian American Journalist Association say you should avoid when reporting on Jermy Lin:
DANGER ZONES
"CHINK": Pejorative; do not use in a context involving an Asian person on someone who is Asian American. Extreme care is needed if using the well-trod phrase "chink in the armor"; be mindful that the context does not involve Asia, Asians or Asian Americans. (The appearance of this phrase with regard to Lin led AAJA MediaWatch to issue statement to ESPN, which subsequently disciplined its employees.)
DRIVING: This is part of the sport of basketball, but resist the temptation to refer to an "Asian who knows how to drive."
EYE SHAPE: This is irrelevant. Do not make such references if discussing Lin's vision.
FOOD: Is there a compelling reason to draw a connection between Lin and fortune cookies, takeout boxes or similar imagery? In the majority of news coverage, the answer will be no.
MARTIAL ARTS: You're writing about a basketball player. Don't conflate his skills with judo, karate, tae kwon do, etc. Do not refer to Lin as "Grasshopper" or similar names associated with martial-arts stereotypes.
"ME LOVE YOU LIN TIME": Avoid. This is a lazy pun on the athlete's name and alludes to the broken English of a Hollywood caricature from the 1980s.
"YELLOW MAMBA": This nickname that some have used for Lin plays off the "Black Mamba" nickname used by NBA star Kobe Bryant. It should be avoided. Asian immigrants in the United States in the 19th and 20th centuries were subjected to discriminatory treatment resulting from a fear of a "Yellow Peril" that was touted in the media, which led to legislation such as the Chinese Exclusion Act.
The truth of the matter is that the AAJA wants journalist or anyone else to enter the 'Danger Zone.'Groups like them profit off racism, whether real or imagined.Through these 'offences' they gain an asset that they can exploit,to gain media attention and to raise 'badly needed funds' to fill their coffers in the never ending fight against racism.

My guess is,that Jermy Lin more American than he is Asian and has as much in common with his Asian heritage,as I have with my European heritage, not very much.He has probably been  more influenced  by Christianity and American culture, than his Asian roots.

I think the answer to all this is to remove all the hyphens out of American society and follow Morgan Freeman's advice,'stop talking about it.'Maybe then we could realize that Jermy Lin is just All American.

'America's Per Capita Government Debt Worse Than Greece'

Verbatim post from The Weekly Standard:
The office of Senator Jeff Sessions, ranking member on the Senate Budget Committee, sends along this chart, showing that 'America’s Per Capita Government Debt Worse Than Greece,' as well as Ireland, Italy, France, Portugal, and Spain:

'Now What?'

Verbatim post from Victor Davis Hanson:
The Obama administration’s real problem is existential: What if it gets what it wants, but then finds that either it or the country really is uncomfortable with what it got?
Take energy. We were long ago lectured by hot-house administration plants, including the president himself, about the desirability of high-cost energy in curbing fossil-fuel use and making subsidized wind and solar power and electric transportation competitive. By midsummer, the technocrats may get their wish with $5 or even $6-a-gallon gas (not quite as high as Secretary Chu may once have wanted). Will they say, “But $7 or $8 would have been more truly European”?
And if we were to go back to the “Clinton tax rates” as the president repeats as a daily mantra, then what? The deficit would not drastically be cut, given the huge rates of borrowing, and the budget would not even come close to being balanced. Would the president then come back with, “We need to raise taxes a lot more than just those pay-your-fair-share Clinton-era rates”?
And Obamacare? Once it passed, there were new taxes leveled to pay for it; health-care premiums are rising; the latest squabble with the Catholic Church reminds us that few Americans had any idea about what was in the 2,000-plus-page bill; and soon Medicare will be trimmed to pay for it. In reaction, will the administration say, “We need a truly comprehensive Obamacare II bill?” or “Next round we will offer you a single-payer plan”? or “We had too little government control the first time around”?
Abroad, what comes after “reset” and “outreach”? Outreach 2.0 in which we issue another four to five deadlines to Iran? Reset 1A in which we reapproach Putin from a different direction, or reopen again the reopened and reclosed embassy in Damascus? Leading from way, way behind?
What comes after “the most transparent” administration in history? No more super PACs or a return to public financing of campaigns — in 2016? The revolving door for only ten departing officials, but not 15? Will there be post-class-warfare with fatter cats, corporate-jet fleet owners, “the 10 percenters,” and lots of points at which you need to stop making money? Alligators, moats — and piranhas? Punish all of our enemies?
Socialism never ever delivers the utopia it has promised. In fact it rather exasperates the problems it was supposed to solve in the first place.

A Liberal In The Armor At ESPN

From Yahoo :

The ESPN editor axed over an offensive headline in reference to New York Knicks star Jeremy Lin insists he meant no harm."This had nothing to do with me being cute or punny," Anthony Federico said in an interview with the New York Daily News."I'm so sorry that I offended people," he added. "I'm so sorry if I offended Jeremy."Federico's headline -- "Chink in the Armor: Jeremy Lin's 9 Turnovers Cost Knicks in Streak-stopping Loss to Hornets" -- was posted on ESPN's mobile site at 2:30 a.m. on Saturday and taken down about half an hour later.ESPN fired the 28-year-old editor on Sunday and issued an apology, noting it was aware of a pair of other "offensive and inappropriate" comments on the sports network's various outlets. In addition, the channel suspended ESPNEWS anchor Max Bretos for 30 days following his on-air use of the slur.
'A chink in the armor' is a phrase I have heard all my life to describe someones weakness.Sportscasters especially have used this well known euphemism to add color to their broadcast. In fact I am pretty sure I have heard this phrase used to describe Tiger Woods golf game over the past few years, who is also of Asian descent and no one has cried racism over its use.

Their is nothing inherently racist in the phrase,'a chink in the armor.'It is clear that neither,Anthony Fedrico, nor Max Bretos intended any racial slur against Jermy Lin.The only people who are injecting racism into this phrase are the politically correct crowd and ESPN/Disney.

For ESPN/Disney to destroy Anthony Fedrico's career over this is disgusting.I hope Mr. Fedrico retains an attorney and sues the ears off the Mouse.

Where Did Bubba Get All That Dough?

Bill Clinton is ranked as the 9th richest President, with a net worth of 38 million. How did someone who has worked in the public sector all his life acquire all this wealth 'serving the people?'

How Ron Paul Would Effectively End Abortion In America

Ron Paul:
"To summarize my views--I believe the federal government has a role to play," said Paul. "I believe Roe v. Wade should be repealed. I believe federal law should declare that life begins at conception. And I believe states should regulate the enforcement of this law, as they do other laws against violence."
"I don't see the value in setting up a federal police force on this issue any more than I do on other issues," Paul said. "The Fourteenth Amendment was never intended to cancel out the Tenth Amendment. This means that I can’t agree that the Fourteenth Amendment has a role to play here, or otherwise we would end up with a 'Federal Department of Abortion.' Does anyone believe that will help life? We should allow our republican system of government to function as our Founders designed it to: protect rights at the federal level, enforce laws against violence at the state level.
"As President, I will sign and aggressively advocate for a law that removes abortion from the jurisdiction of the federal courts," said Paul. "This approach, done by simple majority vote and stroke of my Presidential Pen, would effectively overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to pass strong pro-life legislation immediately. Millions of lives would be saved by this approach while we fight to make every state a right to life state."
While most Pro-Life Republicans talk a good game, they rarely do anything to actually stop abortions.Ron Paul is not only Pro-Life,but he has a plan, that is not only capable of ending this scourge in our country,it is also Constitutional.Tell me who is the most Pro-Life candidate?

The New Republican Virtue Of Cowardice

Michael Barone:

Many Republican House members, and the bloggers and tea partiers who cheered their victory in gaining a majority in November 2010, seem to be seething with discontent and eager for confrontation.
They believe, reasonably, that their victory represented a repudiation of the vast expansion of government by the Obama Democrats. They want to see those policies reversed, and pronto. And if the dilatory Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and the all-campaign-no-governance President Obama want a confrontation, so much the better.
Such impatience is unbecoming in those who call themselves “constitutional conservatives.” It is James Madison’s Constitution that prevents the winners of one election from directing the course of public policy as unilaterally as, to take one example, the British Labor party marched Britain into a socialist welfare state on the basis of one election victory in 1945.
This is utter hog-wash!We who want less government and to reduce its power over our lives DO NOT expect a return to Constitutional government over night. In fact most of us know it won't happen in our lifetimes.

We know we will have to have both the House and a filibuster proof Senate, with the Presidency just to begin to restore our nation to its Constitutional roots. We also know that the battle will not just be in Washington, but in the streets all across America. The Left -the Union-thugs and Occupy Wall Street- will rage with violence at the end of government programs that they have been conditioned to be dependent upon;being encouraged to do so by the crony capitalist who have enriched themselves at the expense of the state. It will be a very long and enduring fight.

The problem that I and others have with the Republicans in Congress,is not in their prudence in picking the right fight, but in their refusal to stand up and fight at all.Their strategy seems to be to avoid confrontation with Obama and the Democrats at all cost, caving in at every opportunity. They may not be able to roll back the welfare state, but they DO NOT have to be a party to its expansion.

Patience is a virtue, but cowardice is not. This exactly what John Boehner and the GOP leadership in the House has exhibited, cowardice.I will not be lectured to,by Michael Barone or any other Washington insider on being impatient, when we are led in Washington by a bunch of cowards.

'God Speed,John Glenn'

50 years ago today,John Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth.

Reposted:Happy Tyrant,Socialists,Drunk,Whoremonger,And Abject Failures Day.

Today, along with George Washington,we have chosen to honor the other 43 men who have occupied the office of President. Not all these men deserved to be honored.

Today we choose to honor a tyrant,Abrham Lincoln.Lincoln trampled the Constitution under foot,to do nothing more than to subjagate the Southern states to the Northern states for their own economic benifit. Most all of our present problems concerning a large and out of control goverment began with Lincoln.

Today we choose to honor socialists,Woodrow Wilson,FDR,and his cousin Teddy. They felt the Federal goverment should choose the winners and losers of life, rather than let it be decided by a mans own wits, hard work, and dertimination. They, like Lincoln, cared nothing for the Constitution, but saw it as an obstacle that had to be subverted.

We also choose to honor social deviants such as U S. Grant and Bill Clinton.Grant was a drunk and a failure at everything he did in life, except at the mauling of the armies he commanded.Bill Clinton is a whoremonger and a habitual liar, who will argue over the meaning of the word,"is."

Lets us not forget our failures,Jimmy Carter, and Barak Obama.Jimmy Carter projected weakness throughout the world and in return the radical Muslim's in Iran siezed our embassy there and held the staff hostage.Carter also didn't see goverment as the problem to our economic woes, but saw the so called "mailase" of the American people as the problem. As for Obama,he wont be outdone by Jimmy Carter,he has apollogized to the world for America, their is no dictator he wont bow to and its our fault, not his, we haven't emerged out of the "Great Reccession" yet.

'Yosemite Waterfall Turns To 'Flowing Lava'

From the Daily Mail:

A window of time just opened in Yosemite National Park when nature photographers wait, as if for an eclipse, until the moment when the sun and earth align to create a fleeting phenomenon.
This marvel of celestial configuration happens in a flash at sunset in mid-February — if the winter weather cooperates.
On those days the setting sun illuminates one of the park's lesser-known waterfalls so precisely that it resembles molten lava as it flows over the sheer granite face of the imposing El Capitan.

This is just cool!

'The Battle Hymn Of The Republic - Mark Twain Version'

From Free North Carolina:
Mine eyes have seen the orgy of the Launching of the Sword
He is searching out the hoardings where the stranger’s wealth is stored;
He hath loosed his fateful lightnings and with woe and death has scored;
His lust is marching on.

I have seen him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded him an altar in the Eastern dews and damps;
I have read his doomful mission by the dim and flaring lamps;
His night is marching on! I have read his bandit gospel writ in burnished rows of steel:
“As ye deal with my pretensions, so with you my wrath shall deal; Let the faithless son of Freedom crush the patriot with his heel;
Lo, Greed is marching on!”

We have legalized the strumpet and are guarding her retreat;
Greed is seeking out commercial souls before his judgement seat;
O, be swift, ye clods, to answer him! Be jubilant my feet!
Our god is marching on.

In a sordid slime harmonious Greed was born in yonder ditch,
With a longing in his bosom — and for others’ goods an itch.
As Christ died to make men holy, let men die to make us rich –Our god is marching on.”

'A More Truthful Version Of The Gettysburg Address'

Via Free North Carolina:
Four score and seven years ago our fathers declared independence from the United Kingdom and then went on to form a loose confederation of independent states which was scrapped a few years later in favour of a somewhat more centralised federation of states. Some of our ancestors have been agitating since that time to further impose their values upon others, consolidate power and make the voluntary Union compulsory.
Now are are waged in a great war to centralise power and and gain economic and political benefits over Southerners, testing whether we can prevail on the battle-field and dominate the South for many generations to come. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that our vision of involuntary, centralised government might be forced upon others. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.

But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate, we can not consecrate, we can not hallow this ground. The men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have advanced through superior manpower, funding and supply of arms. It is rather for us to be here dedicated to the great task remaining before us – that from these dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion – that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain – that this involuntary union, under an unconstrained executive, shall have fewer freedoms and more centralised power – and that government in Washington, DC, by Northern elites, for their economic and political interests, shall not perish from the earth.

A Powder Keg

From The PJ Tatler:
Only 63.7% of working-age Americans are currently in the workforce – the lowest in almost 29 years!
To put it another way, 36.3% of working-age Americans do not have a job and are not even looking.

Less than 2/3rds of working age adults in this country are employed or actively seeking employment. That leaves over a 3rd of working-age Americans gaining some sort of income from some other source than a regular job. They are either receiving government subsidies (food stamps and such),off the books employment (odd jobs and such),charity,or they are involved in various criminal enterprises.

This isn't good at all. This is a powder keg waiting to explode.

Rick Santorum And The Liberal Inquisition

The Lefts attack on Santorum:
Santorum has also been attacked by Steve Kornacki at Salon for his “Catholic-infused opposition to abortion.” It may come as a shock to Kornacki that the late Christopher Hitchens was also pro-life, and that Nat Hentoff is proudly pro-life today. Their atheism hardly accounts for their understanding of Biology 101.
The blogsite Huffpost Hill says, “Santorum thinks the Catholic Church isn’t conservative enough, which is kind of like thinking Megadeth doesn’t thrash hard enough.” Guess that means Santorum is a very Catholic kind of guy (Megadeth is a heavy metal band—I had to look it up). Should Santorum therefore be disqualified? Irin Carmon at Salon no doubt thinks so: “Rick Santorum is coming for your contraception.” Probably around midnight.
Linda Hirshman, also at Salon, is having a stroke: “That an advocate of legislating strict Roman Catholic sexual doctrine came within eight votes of winning…warrants attention.” Yeah, if this Catholic makes it to the White House, he’ll seek stimulus money for mandatory chastity belts.
Let’s face it, the left want a religious test for president—they want to exclude all religious candidates. Which explains their love affair with Obama.
If its OK to question Santorum's Catholicism, can we now question Romney's Mormonism?

Disclaimer: I am neither a Romney supporter or a Santorum supporter.Nor am I,or ever will be,a Catholic or a Mormon.

'Handing Out Condoms On The Titanic'

A little fresh Steyn:
This is a very curious priority for a dying republic. “Birth control” is accessible, indeed ubiquitous, and, by comparison with anything from a gallon of gas to basic cable, one of the cheapest expenses in the average budget. Not even Rick Santorum, that notorious scourge of the sexually liberated, wishes to restrain the individual right to contraception.

But where is the compelling societal interest in the state prioritizing and subsidizing it? Especially when you’re already the Brokest Nation in History. Elsewhere around the developed world, prudent politicians are advocating natalist policies designed to restock their empty maternity wards. A few years ago, announcing tax incentives for three-child families, Peter Costello, formerly Timmy Geithner’s counterpart Down Under, put it this way: “Have one for Mum, one for Dad, and one for Australia.” But in America an oblivious political class, led by a president who characterizes young motherhood as a “punishment,” prefers to offer solutions to problems that don’t exist rather than the ones that are all too real. I think this is what they call handing out condoms on the Titanic.
In fact, instead of trying to prevent pregnancy,we should be encouraging young girls to marry and have plenty of babies,a baby-boom for the 21st century. But alas, the left controls the culture and 'sexual liberation' is presented as the norm. The stay at home mom, instead of being celebrated and presented as a worthy goal to aspire to by any young woman,is vilified, presented as a rube or dumb, something young women should avoid like the plague. In the end,the sexual revolution will be one of the cause's to our national suicide.

This Is Why The GOP Will Lose In November

From ABC NEWS:

A prominent Republican senator just told me that if Romney can’t win in Michigan, the Republican Party needs to go back to the drawing board and convince somebody new to get into the race.
“If Romney cannot win Michigan, we need a new candidate,” said the senator, who has not endorsed anyone and requested anonymity.
The senator believes Romney will ultimately win in Michigan but says he will publicly call for the party to find a new candidate if he does not.
“We’d get killed,” the senator said if Romney manages to win the nomination after he failed to win the state in which he grew up.
“He’d be too damaged,” he said.  “If he can’t even win in Michigan, where his family is from, where he grew up.”
What about Rick Santorum?
“He’d lose 35 states,” the senator said, predicting the same fate for Newt Gingrich.
It would have to be somebody else, the senator said.  Who?
“Jeb Bush,” the former Florida governor.
If senator Anonymous wants to tell me,that if Romney can't win his home state of Michigan, the Republican party will "get killed" in November,I agree. You want to tell me that either Santorum or Gingrich would "lose 35 states" in a general election,I agree again. But if you want to suggest to me,senator Anonymous, that Jeb Bush is the answer,I would have to say,"you are out of your mind,John McCain."

This is why we need to vote for Ron Paul and help him get as many delegates as he can,to stop this kind of lunacy.

'Gallup Poll Suggest Spike In Unemployment For February'

From Hot Air:

Something appears to be happening in the last few weeks to push employment back down in Gallup’s survey, usually a good if not exact indicator of official trends from the BLS.  It’s unclear what that might be, although it probably relates to current and anticipated demand.  The advance GDP report for 2011Q4 was a decent 2.8%, but the real final sales number was under 1%, which indicates inventory inflation and signals lower output in succeeding quarters, and also indicates flagging demand.
The other possibility is the anticipated rise in energy prices, especially in gasoline.  That will have a corrosive effect on disposable income in two directions — directly at the pump, where it will cost more for consumers to come to market, and on the prices of goods at the market when they arrive.  That will lower demand even further, as seen in the rapid rise of gas prices at this time last year.  Businesses might be bracing for this by postponing replacement hiring or trimming staff, especially with CBO outlooks for growth this year and next being 2.0% and 1.1%, respectively.
We’re two weeks away from the February employment report, but this precursor from Gallup isn’t good news at all.  We’ll see if it’s an outlier this month, or a warning.
It will be interesting to see if Obama's unemployment numbers match Gallup's?

'Dumping Treasurys'

Verbatim post from Free North Carolina:
This is what 'dumping' US Treasurys looks like.
- It's NOT talked about much by the teleprompter readers and talking heads, in fact it's almost as big an open secret as the FED buying most of the US debt these days to compensate for the shrinking foreign demand for Treasurys/Bonds [read: debt].
The Chinese and Russians are NOT stupid people.

'Ron Paul's Delegate Strategy'

From Katrina Trinko:
And it’s not just Maine and Colorado. Talking to reporters in January, Benton predicted that the Paul campaign would ultimately “win the Iowa delegation, even though we took a close third place . . . on caucus night.” Seventy-five percent of the Minnesota delegates to local party conventions are Paul backers, according to the campaign.
Ultimately, the odds that Paul could get enough delegates to swing the national convention to a vote nominating him are nil. But the more delegates Paul controls, the more of an impact he can have on determining the GOP platform at the convention. Furthermore, if it does come to a brokered convention — admittedly an unlikely scenario — the Paul campaign will be ready. Benton refuses to speculate about what the specific odds are that there will be a brokered convention, but does say of the possibility, “We’ve always seen it as more likely than most people would.”
The campaign is also flirting with the possibility that “bound” delegates won’t ultimately be bound. “We would like to take a majority of the delegates and so if there is an unbinding after round one, or if there is a rule passed on the floor of the Republican National Convention to unbind the delegates, then the majority of the delegates [in a given state delegation] would be our supporters and we would control that delegation,” Benton remarks. He notes the campaign’s efforts in Nevada, where delegates are considered bound for the first round of votes: Paul came in third, winning 19 percent of the vote, but the campaign believes it currently controls 60 percent of the delegates. If by some chance those delegates became unbound (and the campaign managed to control 60 percent of the convention delegates), the convention-delegate vote would not mirror Nevada’s caucus vote.
Looking ahead, the campaign is particularly targeting Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, North Dakota, Kansas, and Missouri. Most of those states’ delegates are bound.
The Paul campaign is frank about its belief that no other campaign is as well set up to acquire delegates.
Wouldn't be something, while Mitt,Newt, and Santorum are out playing the beauty contest,Ron Paul slowly garners enough delegates to win the nomination.Either way Ron Paul will be heard at this Summers GOP convention.

Democrats Are Trying To Nip Marco Rubio In The Bud

Verbatim post from The Daily Caller:

There seems to be an orchestrated effort emerging to undermine Sen. Marco Rubio. At least, that’s how it looks.
On the heels of that recent and terribly flawed Reuters story, there have been multiple other shots fired his direction. Some of this may simply speak to Rubio’s level of activity and effectiveness. But the assault hardly seems organic.
Consider the last week, or so, as an example.
During a press briefing this week, White House press secretary Jay Carney took aim at Rubio’s proposed bi-partisan legislation on the religious liberty issue. And a video produced by the DNC also cast Rubio as Obama’s primary adversary over the religious liberty/contraception fight, calling his views “extreme.”
News revealing that Sen. Rubio had hired a firm to research his own background (a smart move for any politician) was “brought to BuzzFeed’s attention by American Bridge, a Democratic opposition research group.”(It’s worth noting American Bridge has previously admitted to targeting Rubio.)
And with another day comes another Rubio story. Politico is out today with what appears to be the latest attempt planted by the Obama Administration to undermine Rubio.
This lasest story seems to be a big nothing burger. Still, this should be viewed in context — not as a stand-alone — but rather as the latest example of a larger effort to strangle the baby in the crib — to undermine one of the few Republicans viewed to be an existential threat to the future of liberalism in America.

With every passing day the likely-hood of a GOP brokered convention becomes more and more possible. Obama and the Democrats are not going to sit back and wait for the GOP to decide on a nominee and then attack him or her. They are going to be more proactive and attack potential threats now and Marco Rubio maybe the biggest potential threat to Obama and a 2nd term in the Republican party.

'They Counted What Thay Wanted To Count'

From The American Spectator:
The Bangor Daily News is reporting that the Maine Republican Party is facing increasing pressure to reconsider its claim that Mitt Romney won the state's caucuses until all the votes are counted. (Hat tip: Taegan Goddard.) Some caucuses were postponed due to snow and told that they won't count in the final tally; towns that had their caucuses before February 11 were also inexplicably not counted.
The Bangor paper quotes a political science professor as saying "It sure looks like they counted what they wanted to count." It is by no means clear that the missing votes would be enough to change the outcome, but even Republicans who didn't support runner-up Ron Paul are concerned about the perceptions created by the state party's handling of the caucuses.
This is outright voter fraud and everybody knows it.

'Obama Lite'

From Andrew McCarthy:
Well, we know the leadership is the same old GOP: As I noted last week, the Boehner Highway Boondoggle might as well be called “Obama Lite” — and it’s really not all that lite at $262 billion, which is about $70 billion more than dedicated fuel taxes will generate and $14 billion per annum more than House Republicans proposed just seven months ago. This is exactly the sort of recklessness that got the GOP booted from power in 2006 and 2008, and that they promised voters they had sworn off.
As Erick Erickson points out, moreover, House Republican leadership is using the same sort of sleight-of-hand Obama Democrats employ to conceal their profligacy and bribe resisters: budget busting provisions are diverted into separate legislation, to be paid for out of general funds, to hide the fact that the Highway Trust Fund is being blown out; domestic energy production is purportedly ramped up (the Left will never go for it) to woo fiscally responsible conservatives into voting yea — even though there is no reason why energy production should be linked to transportation, and if there is a surplus to be had from it, responsible lawmakers would use it to pay down some of the mountainous debt they are saddling our children and grandchildren with, not fund more “stimulus.”
The House Republicans proved how spineless they were last year in the debt ceiling debacle and I fully expect them to cave again to this pork barrel spending.

The GOP Suppresses Ron Paul Vote In Maine

From The Hill
......in Washington County, where Paul had expected to perform well, the caucus was postponed until Feb. 18 due to an expected snowstorm. Washington County Republican Chairman Chris Gardner told the AP he had no idea when the caucuses were postponed that his county would no longer count toward the grand total.

“This is an outrage," John Tate, Paul's campaign manager, said in an email to supporters. "But our campaign is in this race to win, and will stay in it to the very end."
Paul's campaign has accused the local GOP of postponing the caucuses to prevent the results from being reported on Saturday, arguing that "just the votes of Washington County would have been enough to put us over the top."
The campaign is also dismissing the notion that weather was a reasonable excuse for the caucuses to be put off.
“This is Maine we’re talking about," Tate said. "The Girl Scouts had an event today in Washington County that wasn’t cancelled!"
Paul's aides have maintained that the Texas congressman will wind up with the most delegates from Maine, despite Romney's apparent victory Saturday night. Maine's caucuses are non-binding, and delegates are selected at a state convention in May.
"We were a little bit disappointed last night," Paul said Sunday on CBS's Face the Nation. "But we were disappointed that the one county where we have done the best in the past, and we were expected to do the best, they canceled their caucus."
Paul spokesman Jesse Benton said the campaign was confident it would control the Maine delegation at the GOP nominating covention in August in Tampa, Fla.
Something is fishy in Maine and its not the daily catch. The GOP establishment is hell-bent on having Mitt Romney as their nominee, even to the point of voter suppression.

Samuel L. Jackson:'I Voted For Barack Obama Because He Is Black'

TMZ
......politics meant nothing to Samuel L. Jackson because the "Pulp Fiction" star only voted for the president for one reason and one reason only ... because he's black.
In an interview with Ebony magazine, Jackson explained, "I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them ... That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean [bleep] to me."
Jackson then went on to drop the N-word several times when discussing Obama, telling the mag, "When it comes down to it, they wouldn't have elected a [bleep]. Because, what's a [bleep]? A [bleep] is scary. Obama ain't scary at all. [Bleeps] don't have beers at the White House. [Bleeps] don't let some white dude, while you in the middle of a speech, call [him] a liar. A [bleep] would have stopped the meeting right there and said, ‘Who the [bleep] said that?' I hope Obama gets scary in the next four years, 'cuz he ain't gotta worry about getting re-elected."

That's the whole problem, most everyone voted for Obama based on the color of his skin, not on the content of his character.

'The Church Of Obama'

Mark Steyn:
The president of the United States has decided to go Henry VIII on the Church’s medieval ass. Whatever religious institutions might profess to believe in the matter of “women’s health,” their pre-eminences, jurisdictions, privileges, authorities, and immunities are now subordinate to a one-and-only supreme head on earth determined to repress, redress, restrain, and amend their heresies. One wouldn’t wish to overextend the analogy: For one thing, the Catholic Church in America has been pathetically accommodating of Beltway bigwigs’ ravenous appetite for marital annulments in a way that Pope Clement VII was disinclined to be vis-à-vis the English king and Catherine of Aragon. But where’d all the pandering get them? In essence President Obama has embarked on the same usurpation of church authority as Henry VIII: As his Friday morning faux-compromise confirms, the continued existence of a “faith-based institution” depends on submission to the doctrinal supremacy of the state.
“We will soon learn,” wrote Albert Mohler of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, “just how much faith is left in faith-based institutions.” Kathleen Sebelius, Obama’s vicar on earth, has sportingly offered to maintain religious liberty for those institutions engaged in explicit religious instruction to a largely believing clientele. So we’re not talking about mandatory condom dispensers next to the pulpit at St. Pat’s — not yet. But that is not what it means to be a Christian: The mission of a Catholic hospital is to minister to the sick. When a guy shows up in Emergency bleeding all over the floor, the nurse does not first establish whether he is Episcopalian or Muslim; when an indigent is in line at the soup kitchen the volunteer does not pause the ladle until she has determined whether he is a card-carrying papist. The government has redefined religion as equivalent to your Sunday best: You can take it out for an hour to go to church, but you gotta mothball it in the closet the rest of the week. So Catholic institutions cannot comply with Commissar Sebelius and still be in any meaningful sense Catholic.
If you’re an atheist or one of America’s ever more lapsed Catholics, you’re probably shrugging: What’s the big deal? But the new Act of Supremacy doesn’t stop with religious institutions. As Anthony Picarello, general counsel for the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, put it: “If I quit this job and opened a Taco Bell, I’d be covered by this mandate.” And so would any of his burrito boys who object to being forced to make “health care” arrangements at odds with their conscience.
The natural right of conscience is our most sacred of rights. In times of war we do not force those who legitimately oppose war from participating and violating their own conscience, giving them conscientious objector status. At no time does our Constitution require anyone to choose between the state and God.

But now under Obamacare, the state has been elevated above God and reigns supreme, with Barack Obama on the throne deciding what is Holy and unholy. All things belong unto Ceasar now.

'Big Valley' Star Peter Breck Has Past Away

'Nick Barkley' has sadly passed:
The actor who played a son of ranch owner Barbara Stanwyck on the 1960s Western "The Big Valley," has died. Peter Breck was 82.
Breck died Monday in Vancouver, British Columbia, after a long illness, his wife, Diane, announced on the website The Big Valley Writing Desk.
A native of Haverhill, Mass., Breck was also a regular on the TV Westerns "Maverick" and "Black Saddle." He had guest roles on series from the 1950s through the early 2000s including "Perry Mason," "The Virginian" and "Fantasy Island."
His film appearances include "Thunder Road," "I Want to Live!" and "Benji."
Breck was best known for his role as hot-tempered rancher Nick Barkley on "The Big Valley," which aired from 1965 to 1969.
He and his wife were longtime Vancouver residents.
Me and my father spent many a Saturday watching reruns of the 'Big Valley' and I think 'Nick' was both of our favorites on the show.Alas, they don't make them like that any more.

God bless Peter Breck and his family. He will be greatly missed.

Bill Murray:'United States Is A "Pioneer Country'

From The Hill:
Murray said the United States is a "pioneer country," but that many seen to forget the discipline early Americans needed to have just to survive.

"Occasionally, it seeps in that they came in wagons from Illinois to Oregon or whatever. That they came in wagons and the wheels broke."
He said this image leads to thoughts such as, " 'Gee, that must have been hard for those women to push that wagon up that mountain.'
"And that's what they had to do," he said. "There was no option but to do it yourself, to have your own responsibility."
And thats the Fact,Jack!

'Why Warren Buffet Doesn't Mind Paying Higher Taxes'

It all about taxable income and Good Ole Uncle Warren has relative very little taxable income.Maybe this is why his secretary pays a higher tax rate than he does?

'The Ghost Of Margaret Sanger'

From Michelle Malkin:
When a bunch of wealthy white women and elite Washington bureaucrats defend the trampling of religious liberties in the name of “increased access” to “reproductive services” for “poor” women, the ghost of Margaret Sanger is cackling.
As she wrote in her autobiography, Sanger founded Planned Parenthood in 1916 “to stop the multiplication of the unfit.” This, she boasted, would be “the most important and greatest step towards race betterment.” While she oversaw the mass murder of black babies, Sanger cynically recruited minority activists to front her death racket. She conspired with eugenics financier and businessman Clarence Gamble to “hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities” to sell their genocidal policies as community health and welfare services.
Outright murder wouldn’t sell. But wrapping it under the egalitarian cloak of “women’s health” — and adorning it with the moral authority of black churches — would. Sanger and Gamble called their deadly campaign “The Negro Project.”
Margaret Sanger was as evil as Adolf Hitler and Planned Parenthood is rotten to the core.Every minority, every homosexual, every special needs child and family, and everyone who is poor, should be outraged that a dime of their tax dollars go to fund this societal and racially supremacist group, who very much wanted you dead before you were born.

'Jim DeMint's Uncompromising Victory'

Via Free North Carolina:
DeMint made a Super Bowl reference during his own speech, pointing out that the victorious New York Giants didn’t take the field to “work with” the other guys or “cooperate” with the opposing quarterback. He pointed out that the goals of the Democrats are so diametrically opposed to Republicans that, on the greatest issues facing us, there is no room for “compromise,” which only works well when the two parties have shared goals. “Every time we ‘compromise’ with Democrats, we spend more, borrow more, and grow the government,” he sighed ruefully.
“Conservatism is not a political ‘theory,’” said DeMint. “It is a proven set of principles to make life better, and people freer, and the country stronger.” He added that liberal social planning and the central control of economics isn’t a political theory either – “it’s a proven failure.”
DeMint said “the principles of a strong military, and an otherwise limited government” should not be on trial in America – they should be “held on display, for the world to see, and emulate.”
Jim DeMint is one of the few in Washington who actually get it.

Big Brother Seeking To Get A Birds Eye View Of You

From The Washington Times:
Look! Up in the sky! Is it a bird? Is it a plane? It’s … a drone, and it’s watching you. That’s what privacy advocates fear from a bill Congress passed this week to make it easier for the government to fly unmanned spy planes in U.S. airspace.
The FAA Reauthorization Act, which President Obama is expected to sign, also orders the Federal Aviation Administration to develop regulations for the testing and licensing of commercial drones by 2015.
This is another step to place us under total surveillance by a Big Brother police state.

The Climate:Change You Can Believe In

From Right Wing News:

As we get into the coldest month of the year, we are seeing a slight increase in flu outbreaks, but, so far, world wide the flu season has been a bust. So, is a warming world really that bad? At the beginning of the Little Ice Age, the Black Death ran rampant, killing 75 million from Europe to Asia. And like today’s warm period, the LIA was natural. Things will happen, some good, some bad. People have still been getting colds this fall/winter, but most have been mild. This mild winter could (there’s that word again, very scientific) cause more Lyme Disease this year. For the Warmists, though, hot cold wet dry is a cause for apoplexy and force 10 moonbattery. They are true Flat Earthers, thinking that nothing should ever change, that the climate and weather should always be the same and entirely predictable.
I've said this before, that global warming is a good thing, its periods of global cooling that are the real killers.

BTW,climate change has to be the biggest oxymoron their is.Doesn't the climate do just that, change?Isn't that why we have seasons,Winter,Spring,Summer and Fall.In fact, isn't some of the most inhospitable places on Earth is were the climate never changes,Antarticia and deserts?Maybe, just maybe, climate change is NORMAL!

President Multiple-Choice

Michael Barone:
Contrarian liberal blogger Mickey Kaus sums it up: “The president’s decision-making method — at least as described in this piece — seems to consist of mainly checking boxes on memos his aides have written for him.”
It offical, our President is a lazy moron. If elected, next term he will begin using true-false as a means of governing.

A Government Induced Coma

From The Market Ticker:
What Mr. Schwab is missing here is that The Fed is hardly an "independent" central bank.  It is in fact beholden to Congress, which has pumped up $5 trillion in debt over the last three years.  That debt has a servicing cost, and it is the "ultra low" interest rates that make this temporarily affordable.
How is Congress going to service this debt when the rate of interest rises?  More to the point, where are the adults in the room in Washington DC?  We've had this on both sides of the aisle -- "we must stimulate the economy!" -- with borrowed money.
Outright bribery of the electorate both hasn't and can't work to lead to a durable recovery.  Instead, it has backed Bernanke and Congress into a corner.  When rates rise to just a blended 4% Congress will be facing a $600 billion annual interest bill.  From where will the money come?
This is the trap into which Japan fell and what we are facing today.  It is an extraordinarily destructive cycle that is very, very difficult to break, because it requires pulling the liquidity support at the same time Congress dramatically raises taxes, cuts spending (real cuts, not the imaginary cuts from "baseline" budgeting) or both.  In short it requires admitting that we took fiscal heroin to avoid pain and accepting the accumulated damage for a period of time, accepting the "deferred depression" that we all tried to hide.
Our economy is in a government induced coma.If the economy was to take off and grow,it would cause a rise in interest rates that would make our national debt unserviceable. So our 'masters' in Washington -who sold us down the river to China- must keep a lid on our economy, lest we risk economic collapse because we can't pay the interest to our debt.

This is why Obama wants to raise taxes on richest 1%,just to pay the interest to the national debt. That's why also,he is leaving Iraq and Afghanistan,to reduce costs just to pay the interest to the national debt.

If we don't balance our budget now and get a handle on our national debt,it will swallow us whole.
