What Does Obama's Troop Draw Down Really Mean?

Obama to reduce the size of the military:
After the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan that defined the first decade of the 21st century, Mr Obama's blueprint for the military's future acknowledged that America will no longer have the resources to conduct two such major operations simultaneously.
Instead, the US military will lose up to half a million troops and will focus on countering terrorism and meeting the new challenges of an emergent Asia dominated by China. America, the President said, was "turning the page on a decade of war" and now faced "a moment of transition". The country's armed forces would in future be leaner but, Mr Obama pointedly warned both friends and foes, sufficient to preserve US military superiority over any rival – "agile, flexible and ready for the full range of contingencies and threats".
Obama is trying to accomplish 2 things with this draw down.

1.) This is a ploy by Obama to manipulate the next debt ceiling debate.He will argue that if Republicans want a strong a military,they will have to pay for it and raise the debt ceiling.

2.) In the future it is going to become harder and harder to fill the ranks with new recruits,because we now allow homosexuals to serve openly in the military.Instead of dealing with the problem,that most people don't want the homosexual lifestyle shoved down their throats,they are just going to reduce their quota for troops.

Give Them An Inch And They Will Take A Mile

From The Washington Times:

With the official end of the U.S. military’s ban two weeks away, gay-rights activists are pressing the Pentagon for more than just the right to serve openly.
An underground group of gay personnel says it has won permission from at least two military branches to let it distribute its magazine, Outserve, on bases.
In addition, the Servicemembers Legal Defense Network, which led a long fight in Washington to repeal the ban, has written to Defense Secretary Leon E. Panetta urging him to extend military housing and other benefits to the same-sex spouses of personnel.
This is just the tip of the iceberg,the homosexuals will not stop until they radically transform the military's culture with political correctness.I wonder how many Sargent's will be reprimanded just for using the term "ladies" in reference to their troop?How many soldiers and Marines will be court marshaled just because they used they word "faggot?"This and more awaits our military,all because they are allowing a group that doesn't measure more than 1% of the U.S. population to join their ranks.

The Sarge Wears Prada Now

This from the The Other McCain;
“There were a few gay girls who lived in the barracks. . . . The other gay girls had affairs with each other in the barracks, and ‘hit’ on other girls in the barracks. This really freaked out some of the Marines. We were all very young, and inexperienced in these types of situations.
“It was very disruptive, and very distracting. It hurt military cohesion. Since the girls who were trouble makers knew they could be thrown out of the military, they were somewhat careful not to over-step certain limits on their behavior.
“If gay behavior in the military is permitted, there will not be any reprimand for this type of behavior.”

from “Gay Identity in the Military in Light of My Experience as a (Female) Marine”
Also,this from Moonbattery;
As for the many good soldiers who will leave the service rather than watch it degenerate into a combination make-work jobs program/San Francisco bathhouse:
"If there are people who cannot deal with the change, then they're going to have to do what's best for their troops and best for the organization and best for the military service and exit the military service, so that we can move forward - if that's the way that we have to go," Sgt. Hill said on the television show, "Washington Watch" in December.

Mark my words,within 10 years or less Congress will have to reinstitute the draft to make up the short falls in reenlistments and new enlistments,because of this social enginiering snafu.
