'Two,Three,Many Obamas'

Victor Davis Hanson:
The fringe Birthers made outlandish claims for years that Obama was not born in the United States and therefore was not eligible to be president. But suddenly, after nearly four years of his presidency, we discover that for over a decade and a half Obama’s own publicity bio listed him as Kenyan-born. Why and how did this happen — given that authors customarily write their own autobiographies and have annual opportunities to edit them? Did Obama think that to fudge an identity might make his book on a mixed-race heritage more saleable in 1991, and then himself more exotic as a state legislator and senator in the ensuing 16 years — but for some reason not as a presidential candidate?
What is real and what is not? The Obama “composite” girlfriend who sort of existed and sort of did not? Was there one Obama named Barry and another who became Barack, one with the middle name Hussein that was taboo to utter in the campaign of 2008 and another with the middle name Hussein that after January 20, 2009, was supposed to resonate in the Muslim world?

One Obama was the constitutional-law professor at the prestigious University of Chicago; another was a part-time lecturer who never published and was rarely seen or heard at the law school. One Obama was a brilliant Harvard Law Review editor; another never wrote an article. One Obama had the highest IQ of any entering president and was indeed the smartest man we ever elected commander-in-chief; another Obama proved it by not releasing his college transcripts. One Obama is the fittest and most energetic of recent presidents; another Obama is the most secretive and reluctant about proving it through the customary releasing of medical records.
Why so secretive if there is nothing to hide?Imagine if Bush was this secretive?The MSM would be going bananas,hijacking press conferences,berating Bush constantly about his past,under the idiom of 'our right to know',or in Dan Rather's case,he would just fabricate a story and try to pass it off as fact.

If not for the truth,then for their own fame and fortune their has to be at least one Woodward or Bernstein in the media to go out and dig into this,finding their own 'Deepthroat' that would lead them to the truth,thus making a name for themselves?Is their not anyone in the MSM who is independent and not part of the Borg?

'Polls Are For Strippers' But Ron Paul Is In 2nd Place

A Reuters poll has Ron Paul climbing into 2nd place in its national poll.Ron Paul has jumped Gingrich with 21% and now trails Romney just by 8%.

Just imagine what those numbers may say if their wasn't a media blackout concerning Ron Paul.

'The Ron Paul Media Blackout Is Back On'

After a brief spike in interest, the mainstream media coverage of GOP candidate Ron Paul is back to nearly nothing, according to the Pew Research Center's Project for Excellence in Journalism. This week, less than 5 percent of all campaign stories focused on Paul, the lowest point since Dec. 11. when strong performances in Iowa and New Hampshire helped stoke some interest. Over the same period, Paul's performance in the polls has only improved, going from the single digits to 12.7 percent, putting him nearly even with Rick Santorum, in the current RealClearPolitics average.
Try as they must,but they will never silence Ron Paul,and the true conservatives in this country.

'Baggage'

The left-wing media finally accomplished its task with the character assination of Herman Cain,causing him to suspend his campaign,basically quiting the race.I am no supporter of Herman Cain,primarily because of his wishy-washingness concerning the Constitution,but he has been slandered by the MSM based on allegations from a bunch of gold diggers,with no real proof he did anything.When these same kind of allegations happened to the whoremonger and chief,Bill Clinton,we were told by the same MSM that this was his personal life and did not pertain to his ability to hold office.Can you say hypocrites!

The worst part of this whole character assination is that a lot of the conservative media joined in on the execution.A lot of our so called 'gate-keepers' need to take heed and listen to Professor William Jacobson:

Point 1 is something I have been writing about almost since the start of this blog, the need to defend Republicans and conservatives and Tea Party supporters against media smears regardless of whether you support the particular candidate. The David Frum wing of the Republican Party doesn’t see it that way, and frankly, neither does much of the conservative media. Piling on Sarah Palin was taken as a sign of moral and intellectual courage when in fact it was moral and intellectual cowardess. Many of those same people joined the Democratic pro-Obama mainstream media in piling on caricatures and distortions regarding Rick Perry, Herman Cain, and now Newt.

Point 2 is a truism, but begs the question of what is “baggage.” I surmise from John’s post that he is talking about Newt, as to whom the term “baggage” most frequently is used. But what is baggage in an election?
Personal faults and defaults will not factor in as much as long as not illegal, provided they are acknowledged and atoned for. That is why the social conservative vote has not written off Newt, or fully embraced other candidates without known personal baggage.
What about political baggage? That’s more problematic in a campaign. It’s the reason the Obama campaign has targeted Romney’s political “core.” As I pointed out before, it’s a theme which has worked in the past against Romney.
But my biggest issue with the “baggage” concern is that it is defensive. Regardless of who the Republican nominee is, the media will deem that candidate to have baggage.
The purest of personally pure candidates will be faulted for being a religious nut and not hip enough to be president, someone from the white bread 1950s. Policies advocating personal responsibility and empowerment will be portrayed as cruel and favoring the rich. Advocacy of treating people according to the content of their characters rather than the colors of their skin will be protrayed as racially insensitive or racist.
So yes, don’t select a nominee with so much baggage that the nominee is unelectable, but think through what “baggage” really means, and don’t try to placate the mainstream media which will be against our nominee, baggage or not.

Open Mike At The G20 Summit

What I find disturbing about this,is not that President Obama and the French president,Sarkozy,were found to be gossiping like 2 teenage girls at the school dance,about the girl in school they don't like.That's par for the course for Obama.He is a petty and small minded individual,who is threatened by anyone who may challenge him.

What I find disturbing is this:

The surprising lack of coverage may be explained by a report alleging that journalists present at the event were requested to sign an agreement to keep mum on the embarrassing comments. A Reuters reporter was among the journalists present and can confirm the veracity of the comments.

A member of the media confirmed Monday that "there were discussions between journalists and they agreed not to publish the comments due to the sensitivity of the issue."

He added that while it was annoying to have to refrain from publishing the information, the journalists are subject to precise rules of conduct.
A free press is essential to a free society.While a non-partisan media is a myth,a press that functions independently of the government is a must.

Thats not what we have here.What we have here is a press that can only publish what the G20 approves.Thats not news,thats propaganda.

Is Mitt Romney 2012's Hillary Clinton?

From The Hill:
“The Romney campaign wishes it had as much of an air of inevitability as Hillary did four years ago,” GOP strategist Keith Appell told The Hill. “The healthcare issue is a symptom of a greater concern: He has been on so many sides of so many issues so recently — and it’s all available on video.”
Even those less overtly critical of Romney than Appell find the Clinton example instructive.
“Voters are so skeptical of all things political these days that they put a huge premium on authenticity,” said Republican strategist Mark McKinnon. “Hillary Clinton had an authenticity problem and so does Mitt Romney.”
I would also compare Mr. Romney to Barack Obama.Their is unwillingness by the MSM to vet and question Mitt Romney on his many flip flops,the same way they ignored Obama's past ties to socialists and radicals,like Bill Ayers.

But rest assured,come the General Election next year,the MSM will take off their kid gloves and turn on good ole Mitt,the same way they did their darling John McCain in 2008.

'Howard Stern Exposes Occupy Wall St. Moron'

Warning,there is profanity contained in the audio.

Nothing shows the sad state of journalism in this country,than when you get more truth from this foul mouthed shock jock,rather than from the MSM.

Hat tip to Hot Air.

"To Hell With All You People"

Via Jonah Goldberg at The Corner;
Look, I am past exhausted talking about liberal media bias. It’s real, we all know it, and people who deny it aren’t even fooling themselves. But some things just have to be pointed out. This morning I watched the first 15 minutes of the Today Show. I don’t particularly love or even like the program, but I find it useful to see what the producers think is the big news of the day. And sometimes Chuck Todd is on, and I like him. If I sound defensive about watching the show it’s only because I am.
Anyway, the first ten minutes was about Gabby Giffords’ return to the House yesterday. I’m not sure it merited the full ten minutes or trumped the hard news that later followed, but it’s a great story and everyone is rooting for the lady, so I’m fine with it.
But think about this for a second. The Giffords shooting sent the media elite in this country into a bout of St. Vitus’s dance that would have warranted an army of exorcists in previous ages. Sarah Palin’s Facebook map was an evil totem that forced some guy to go on a shooting spree. The New York Times, the Washington Post, all three broadcast networks — particularly NBC whose senior foreign affairs correspondent, Andrea Mitchell, devotes, by my rough reckoning, ten times as much air time to whining about Sarah Palin as she does about anything having to do with foreign affairs — flooded the zone with “Have you no shame” finger wagging. A memo went forth demanding that everyone at MSNBC get their dresses over their heads about the evil “tone” from the right. Media Matters went into overdrive working the interns 24/7 to “prove” that Republicans deliberately foment violence with their evil targets on their evil congressional maps.
Everyone “knew” the shooter was a tea partier. Except he wasn’t. He wasn’t even a conservative. He was a sick, demented, nutball. And it still didn’t matter! More bleating and caterwauling about the “tone” followed. More chin stroking and tut-tutting from Meet the Press roundtables and “very special segments” on the Today Show. More pizzas were ordered for the Media Matters galley slaves.
Finally, president Obama, our national-healer, gives a speech. It was a good speech. Indeed it was one of the first speeches in a long while that got anything like bipartisan support. Civility. New tone. No more martial metaphors. These were the takeaways.
So flashforward to this week. Tom Friedman — who knows a bit about Hezbollah — calls the tea partiers the “Hezbollah faction” of the GOP bent on taking the country on a “suicide mission.” All over the place, conservative Republicans are “hostage takers” and “terrorists,” “terrorists” and “traitors.” They want to “end life as we know it on this planet,” says Nancy Pelosi. They are betraying the Founders, too. Chris Matthews all but signs up for the “Make an Ass of Yourself” contest at the State Fair. Joe Nocera writes today that “the Tea Party Republicans can put aside their suicide vests.” Lord knows what Krugman and Olbermann have said.
Then last night, on the very day Gabby Giffords heroically returns to cast her first vote since that tragic attack seven months ago, the vice president of the United States calls the Republican party a bunch of terrorists.
No one cares. I hate the “if this were Bush” game so we’re in luck. Instead imagine if this was Dick Cheney calling the Progressive Caucus (or whatever they’re called) a “bunch of terrorists” on the day Giffords returned to the Congress. Would the mainstream media notice or care? Would Meet the Press debate whether this raises “troubling questions” about the White House’s sensitivity? Would Andrea Mitchell find some way to blame Sarah Palin for Dick Cheney’s viciousness? Would Keith Olbermann explode like a mouse subjected to the Ramone’s music in Rock and Roll High School? Something inside me hidden away shouts, “Hell yes they would!”
The Today Show even had Debbie Wasserman Schultz on this morning for five minutes talking about Giffords. No one thought to ask her what she thought of Biden’s comments? It’s not like she’s the Democratic party’s national spokesperson or anything. Oh, wait. She is!
Instead, after the full ten minutes on Giffords, we get an update about the debt-limit situation (which is supposedly an Armageddon-level issue) and Kelly O’Donnell basically carries water for Biden on the issue by completely muddying whether he said anything of the sort at all. (His office says, no, no the vice president didn’t call them terrorists, he just politely agreed with all the Democratic congressmen in the room that they “acted like terrorists.” Ah, this is a distinction a team of a million Jesuits working around the clock would have a hard time slicing).
And yet you know the next time there’s the slightest, remotely exploitable tragedy or hint of violence, the same reporters, editors, producers and politicians are going to insist that blood was spilled because of the right wing’s rhetoric.
Well, go to Hell. All of you.
Ditto!

Steyn Putting It All In Perspective

Mark Steyn,puts in proper perspective,the News of the World hacking story,the Atlanta schools cheating scandal,and project Gunrunner;

We’re not talking about hacking a schoolgirl’s cellphone here. Real people are dead. Yet nobody’s going to close down any wing of the vast spendaholic DEATFBI hydra-headed security-state turf-war. And while Eric Holder, the buccaneering attorney general at the center of this wilderness of mirrors, doesn’t yet have as many Distinguished Public Servant of the Year awards as Beverly Hall, judging from his cheerfully upfront obstruction of the congressional investigation, he’s not planning on going anywhere soon.
So, at the News of the World, every single employee is clearing out his desk. But, at the Atlantic Public Schools, at the DEATFBI, life goes on. A curious contrast. The striking feature of Big Government, from Athens to Sacramento, is its imperviousness to any kind of accountability — legal, fiscal, electoral, popular. A media mogul, a bank chairman, an oil executive, a corporate-jet depreciation-claimant are easily demonizable: As President Obama cautioned CEOs a couple of years back, “My administration is the only thing between you and the pitchforks.”

Flubber

On Friday,President Obama.said this,at Ft. Drum;

During his remarks to troops at Fort Drum today, the President was reminiscing about the times he has spent with the US Army's 10th Mountain Division, when he got something wrong.
"Throughout my service, first as a senator and then as a presidential candidate and then as a President, I’ve always run into you guys. And for some reason it’s always in some rough spots.
First time I saw 10th Mountain Division, you guys were in southern Iraq. When I went back to visit Afghanistan, you guys were the first ones there. I had the great honor of seeing some of you because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously."
The problem is, Jared Monti was killed in action in Afghanistan, on June 21, 2006. He was awarded the Medal of Honor posthumously, September 17, 2009. President Obama handed the framed medal to his parents, Paul and Janet Monti. He and the First Lady comforted them in the Oval Office following the ceremony.
The MSM is silent regarding Mr. Obama's "flubbed" remarks.

On June 3rd,Sarah Palin,said,Paul Revere,"warned the British"(see post here),and the MSM went berserk,declaring Sarah Palin an "idiot"even though she was correct.

Once again,the MSM applies a hypocritical double-standard in regards to Sarah Palin and Barack Obama.Guess which side they are on?

Reports Of Sarah Palin's Demise Are Greatly Exaggerated

From Sarah Palin's facebook page;
Imagine our surprise when reading media reports today that the “One Nation Tour” has been cancelled. Why didn’t anyone tell me? Oh, wait, that’s because it hasn’t been cancelled. (Good ol' media... you never cease to amaze!)

As I said myself at the end of the east coast leg of the tour, the summer is long, and I’m looking forward to hitting the open road again. The coming weeks are tight because civic duty calls (like most everyone else, even former governors get called up for jury duty) and I look forward to doing my part just like every other Alaskan.

I wouldn’t think it to be such a slow news day that, what with numerous wars and serious economic woes concerning Americans, a bus is driving news stories today. The next leg of the tour continues when the time comes. In the meantime, no one should jump to conclusions – certainly not the media with their long track record of getting things wrong or just making things up.

- Sarah Palin
Wishful thinking MSM,but your not getting rid of her that easy!

MSM Hypocrisy Regarding Sarah Palin

Comiedian,Tracy Morgan, is quoted as saying this;
"He said if his son that was gay he better come home and talk to him like a man and not [he mimicked a gay, high pitched voice] or he would pull out a knife and stab that little N (one word I refuse to use) to death."

The MSM is outraged.

 Last week comedian,Christopher Titus,said this,referring to Sarah Palin;
You know what man? I am, I am going to literally, if she gets elected president, I am going to hang out on the grassy knoll all the time, just loaded and ready, because you know what? It’s for my country. It’s for my country. If I've got to sacrifice myself, it’s for my country.
The MSM is silent.
Hypocrites,the whole lot of them!

MSM: Looking For A Needle In Sarah Palin's E:Mail Haystack,While Ignoreing The Fire Coming From Anthony Weiner's Roast

All day yesterday the MSM sorted through Sarah Palin's e:mails and found absolutely nothing!If anyone in the history of the United States has been vetted completely,it has been Sarah Palin.

On the other hand the MSM has largely ignored Congressman Anthony Weiner's texting scandal with a 17 year old girl.

This from Patterico;

So why is the press now ignoring the ‘underage girl’ angle of the #Weinergate story that has had MORE proof behind it then the Tweet Seen ‘Round The World that went to Seattle co-ed Gennete Cordova?
This bears repeating, so I’ll repeat it.
There has been more clear, explicit, inexplicable and publicly available information about an inappropriate online relationship between Rep. Anthony Weiner and the girl Patterico calls “Ethel” then there has been about ANY other person – yet the press hasn’t even asked pertinent questions about. Most of this info was available during the ENTIRE story. Reporters like Tommy Christopher certainly know all about it, but failed to even mention it once in his reporting
We no longer have a free and independent media,but a free and partisan media.The MSM is no longer just "biased",it has now openly chosen sides,the liberal side.They will suppress news they think harms their left wing agenda or even fabricate news when it suits their cause.

If it wasn't for Patterico,Andrew Brietbart and others,we would no very little,if any thing at all about this whole sordid scandal involving,Anthony Weinner.Thank God for citizen journalist like them.

Don't be dismayed though,the MSM will continue to dig into every crack and crevice of Sarah Palin's life and continue to find nothing.
