Why Is The Federal Government Regulating Public Swimming Pools?

Earlier this year, the Justice Department ruled that the Americans with Disabilities Act requires publicly accessible pools and spas have lifts, ramps or elevators, and gave a March deadline for compliance, sparking panic among hotels and community pools. As the deadline neared, and under pressure from Congress, the department issued an initial delay and then earlier this month said pools have until next year.
On Thursday, acting just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend that marks the traditional opening of many outdoor pools, the department went a step further and said the rules apply chiefly to future pools. Existing pools will only need to comply if it’s easy to do so.

What business is it of the federal government whether someone who is disabled has access to a public swimming pool?Isn't this the domain of the state government or better yet local municipal governments to regulate?Does the fate of the republic hinge on who can swim and who can't?

“For many Americans with disabilities, swimming pools are an important source of physical activity and emotional comfort,” said House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat.
He told his colleagues that rolling back the rules “would constitute a serious setback to Americans with disabilities, including many of our veterans — and I want you to think about this — many of our veterans wounded while serving our nation overseas.”

This is where everybody gets mad as Hades with me.

By the mere definition of the word disabled,they are things you can no longer or never could do because you have a disabilty that denies you that abilty.Blind people can not see,therefore they can not drive.People who are paralyzed can not engage in an activiity that requires standing.They are disabled,nature and circumstances deny them.

Its one thing for a propietor of a swimming pool to deny acess to someone who is disabled,but its another thing entiely if someone is denied access by their disabilty.No business should be forced by the government to provide unreasonable aceess to their establishment to anyone,whether disabled or not,its a business not a charity.

For everyone who thinks I'm cold and heartless,just remember this,the market will provide.Someone,somewhere will find a way to make a profit from those who are disabled and want to swim and he or she will provide them the means to do so.In so doing they just might force others to provide the same means,competition is the great equalizer.

Swine On Swine Crime In Michigan

In the state of Michigan it is now criminal to own certain species of pigs under Michigan's new Invasive Species Order,making it a felony to own them.These 'outlawed' pigs are identified by their fur,skeletal appearance,not having squiggly tails but straight tails,erect ears,and of course,'other characteristics not currently known to the MDNR that are identified by the scientific community.'Most of these species of pigs are owned by small family farms.

To enforce this 'intolerable' order,the Michigan Department of Natural Resources conducted ARMED RAIDS on 2 farms for being in violation of the Invasive Species Order.One farmer to avoid arrest had to shoot his pigs before the 'thugs' arrived.

My guess is that the large corporate pig farms are behind this order.They are seeking to drive their smaller competition out of business,by manipulating the laws against them.After they have ruined them,they will come in buy their farms for next to nothing and create a monopoly by which they can manipulate the market and make out like bandits.

On a side note,I have been wondering how the elites and progressives are going to save themselves in the oncoming economic collapse and I think I know?They are going to control the food supply.We all have to eat and who ever controls the food supply,controls you.

For the last few years our 'betters' have been buying up farm land like crazy.I believe the largest concentration of 'farmers' in the world live in,New York City.Not much farm land in that asphalt jungle.

Also,the Obama administration has been trying to virtually outlaw the family farm with new regulations,that would make them 'too expensive' own.

This should scare the living daylights out of every liberty loving American.If the state of Michigan can violate the 4th Amendment and stage armed raids to enforce some wrong pig policy,what is to stop the Federal or any other state government to invade your home to enforce the wrong diet policy because you are eating pork that doesn't have a squiggly tail.

It is insane policies like this that began the American Revolution.Tea Party folks,do you know why the Sons of Liberty dumped the King's tea into Boston Harbor?Because the King created a monopoly for the East India Company with his Tea Act,by taxing all other tea but the East India Company's tea.Ever heard of the Stamp Act,were the colonies were forced to buy paper that was produced in London with the official King's stamp.

You may say its only pigs,big deal.Well you could say it was only tea and paper back then,but we all know it was about much more than that.It was about all our God given liberties.If the government can violate the smallest of our God given rights,its only a matter of time before they can regulate all our speech,violate all of our property rights,invade our privacy,and take away our means to self defence.

Obama's Harsh Regulartory Hand Is Giving China A Monopoly In Rare Earth Minerals

The administration’s harsh regulatory environment is harming yet more sectors of the American economy, rare earth minerals mining and electronics manufacturing. We use these minerals every day in cell phones, high tech industries and leading edge medical tech, even jet engines. DoD uses them in some of our most sophisticated information systems and weapons. American businesses want to purchase these minerals from domestic sources, and the US is among the world’s leading sources of rare earth minerals. A huge new source for one rare earth element, niobium, was announced in Nebraska just this week.
But:

It currently takes up to five times longer to get approval to mine for minerals here than it does in other countries, driving investment, production and jobs away from America. From the time a project request is submitted to the time a final ruling is made, a decade can slip by and paperwork as much as 6 feet high filed and reviewed – repeatedly. Not surprisingly, when investors are ready to move on a project, they turn to countries that are ready to do business, rather than tackle the Byzantine regulatory review process here in the United States.

One of those countries is China, which also possesses large quantities of these minerals. American businesses are finding it easier to do business with the ChiComs than with the American government to get these minerals. Democrat Sen. Bob Casey of Pennsylvania writes that China is leveraging its position (and the Obama administration’s regulatory hostility to mining) to hold a monopoly.

How does China maintain its control over rare earth elements? For one thing, it controls production. The only mine currently producing rare earths is based in China. They also ensure that most of the supplies remain in China by deliberately limiting exports through strict quotas and stiff duties. These illegal measures operate to chill exports and drive global prices through the roof.
As a consequence, today American manufacturers struggle with ever-escalating costs of production, compromising the ability of American companies to compete and create jobs.

This is the depths we have fallen too,it is easier to do business with communist China than it is to do business with so-called capitalist America.
