'Croynism,The American Way'

Vernonique de Rugy:
In their new book Why Nations Fail, economists Daron Acemoglu and James Robinson explain a country’s institutions’ impact on its wealth and economic growth. They, for instance, argue “that the ultimate cause for economic success or failure is rooted within each countries’ institutions, and that understanding how those institutions evolve is crucial for development.”
In a recent interview, which I already mentioned this morning, Acemoglu warned us about how in most countries, including the United States, the biggest rent seekers and moochers today are politicians themselves.
But nowadays in most countries, the most extractive elite is the politicians themselves. Think of Greece. You cannot understand the last three decades without understanding corrupt political system. But the same is true even for the United States. The US political system has become dominated by the political elite and the lobbying industry funneling money to them. We are seeing the costs of this at this moment.
Whether America’s institutions have now become more exclusive than inclusive is obviously an empirical question. But there is plenty of extraction going on right now. In this piece, for instance, the Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney reports on how companies like Microsoft were given very strong signals that hard work isn’t enough to do business in this country and that the right to produce and sell goods and services also requires, political contributions and lobbying capabilities.
Crony capitalism, where the government picks their favorites,is destroying America. There is no free markets when the government is involved, just coercion.

Could We Be Heading Towards World War III In Syria?

From The Times Of Israel:

Iran, Syria, Russia and China are planning the “biggest-ever wargames in the Middle East,” according to an unconfirmed report on the semi-official Iranian news site Fars News.
According to the article, the four countries are preparing 90,000 troops, 400 aircraft and 1,000 tanks for the massive joint maneuvers, which are to take place along the Syrian coast within a month.
The report states that Russian “atomic submarines and warships, aircraft carriers and mine-clearing destroyers as well as Iranian battleships and submarines will also arrive in Syria” and that Egypt has agreed to let 12 Chinese warships cross the Suez Canal for the exercises.
This isn't a wargames exercise. This is a line of demarcation against the 'regieme change' foreign policy that this country has now adopted. This is a stand against this new British style colonialism were we seek to make the world America. They are not having it any longer.

'So Who Needs Romney?'

Ever since Rand Paul endorsed Romney I have been really depressed.Ron Paul seems to have left his supporters hanging, refusing to stand up on their behalf against the establishment, while they are out in the trenches literally risking life and limb.I'm really disappointed in Ron Paul over this, but that's water over the dam.

One thing Romney and the establishment needs to understand, just because Rand endorsed you doesn't mean that WE -those of us who have supported Ron Paul- will follow in his foot steps.Doug Weed makes this point clear:
Establishment Republicans and the main stream media are having a difficult time understanding why Ron Paul supporters aren’t just falling into line behind Mitt Romney.  Don’t we want the GOP to win?  And don’t we want our own candidate to win the nomination someday?  And if so, don’t we realize that we have to be loyal to the nominee this time?
Of course, these are the same establishment Republicans who are hiring off duty policemen to arrest and detain our duly elected county chairmen, or locking the registered rolls of delegates in the trunks of their cars so that the convention cannot have a roll call vote and they can claim “Ayes have it,” when the “Ayes” don’t have anything.
And this is the mainstream media that gave Ron Paul 89 seconds of an hour long televised debate.  And who in another debate, gave their anchor almost as much time as Dr. Paul, the presidential candidate.  And who ignore videotaped state conventions where delegates have their bones broken for more compelling news stories elsewhere.
We see the train headed toward a canyon and the bridge is out.  There is going to be a great crash.  And meanwhile, we are being urged to change the engineer.  “Obama is driving this train 100 mph!” we are told by hand wringing, hysterical, establishment Republicans.  “We need to get Romney in there.  He will slow it down to 95.”
One point I would like to add to this, while the establishment love to demand that we fall in line and support the nominee, this is something they rarely do.When Christine O'Donnell won the Delaware primary in 2010 the 'All-Stars' on Fox attacked her viciously. When Lisa Murkowski lost to Joe Miller in the Alaska GOP primary, she didn't accept the result, she ran as a independent in the general election. Not to mention the attacks upon Sarah Palin and others that came from the GOP.

We don't owe them anything and its going to be a pretty cold place in you know where before I vote for Romney!

The Obama Campaign: All Knowing,All Seeing

What does the Obama campaign and Santa Clause have in common, beside a penchant for giving out goodies? They both know when your sleeping. They know when your awake. They know who your friends are. They even know who your mother voted for.Well scratch the last 2,even Santa respects your right to privacy, unlike the Obama campaign.

'The Keynesian Case For Romney'

From the Washington Post:
But Romney, though he often buys into that sort of nonsense while criticizing Obama, knows better. Time magazine asked him about cutting spending in 2013. “If you take a trillion dollars for instance, out of the first year of the federal budget, that would shrink GDP over 5 percent,” Romney said. “That is by definition throwing us into recession or depression. So I’m not going to do that, of course.” You couldn’t have gotten a clearer definition of Keynesian budgeting from Obama.
There’s a good chance that a Romney administration would extend both Bush and Obama’s tax cuts and delay the scheduled spending cuts. Congress would raise the debt ceiling after Romney promised congressional Republicans that he’d sign some variant of Paul Ryan’s budget as soon as it’s sent to him. Somewhere along the way, Romney would pass both more short-term tax cuts and a long-term transportation bill — something Republicans have been blocking under Obama — that doubles as an infrastructure package and includes, to secure Republican support, the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
Nor is it clear that this will come at the cost of harsh deficit reduction in coming years. There will almost certainly be deep spending cuts if Romney is president, but both the Romney and Ryan proposals include trillions of dollars in unpaid-for tax cuts and defense spending. If Republicans clear that hurdle by simply assuming that deep tax cuts will lead, through supply-side magic, to larger revenues, their deficit-reduction plans might well end up increasing the deficit over the next few years. “Remember,” wrote Business Insider’s Joe Weisenthal, “Republicans were pro-deficit, and pro-entitlement expansion under Bush and Reagan. Deficit cutting only became part of the party’s ideology under Obama.”
Compared to anything Obama is likely to get from a Republican House, that is, at least in the short term, a much more expansionary, Keynesian approach. But it’s also an awful precedent. In a sense, Republicans are holding a gun to the economy’s head and saying, “vote for us or the recovery gets it.”
That might well prove an effective political strategy: The more they say that they’re willing to let the debt ceiling expire and the economy run over the fiscal cliff, the more businesses will pull back and households will stop spending in order to make sure they have enough cash on hand to ride out another crisis. That will further depress the economy this year, making it more likely that Romney wins, and that Republicans embrace the smooth Keynesian glide path that they’re denying Obama.
Electing Mitt Romney in November is no different than giving Obama a 2nd term. The GOP talks spending cuts but has of yet to produce any.

Hat tip to Conservatives 4 Palin.

'Imminent Crash'

From the Market Ticker:
Here's the problem though with the sigh of relief you're probably letting out this morning after the drubbing the market handed you Friday -- nothing has in fact been fixed.
That is, the collapse is coming.  Soon -- months, if not weeks from today.  It's coming because there is still not one government that is facing reality -- that one cannot spend more than one makes, and that when governments do that via monetary machinations it is simply debasement of purchasing power.
This must inevitably force increasing numbers of people into poverty, when then forces them to turn to government for "help", and that swells demand for government services.
If you discern that this pattern is a self-reinforcing cycle of destruction, you're right.
It is.
Those who have even a rudimentary understanding of middle-school arithmetic -- specifically, exponents -- understand that this path must eventually end in disaster.
Go back and again read the Ticker entitled "What You Simply MUST Understand".  Read it however many times you need to until it sinks in.  You may need to read it once, twice, three times, ten times.  Get out your calculator or pencil and paper and verify everything in it for yourself.
If you're a politician, spend the time to contemplate that Ticker and what it means in the context of "growth of 3%", "growth of 5%" or, the nightmare, medical spending that has been growing at 9.3%, approximately, from 1980 to 2011 at the Federal level.
Now consider that this means that medical spending doubles every 7.5 years, and last year it was $820 billion, more or less.  In 7 year it will be $1.6 trillion, generating an additional $800 billion in deficits every single year.  In 15 years it will generate $1.5 trillion of additional deficits every single year.
Well, it would generate that level of deficit if our government didn't collapse first -- but it will if we try to do that.
Think about it long and hard folks.
That is the issue in the election this year and in our government in general.  It is the issue for Federal, State and Local governments.  If we do not address this, and do it now, nothing else -- not foreign policy, not gay marriage, not legalization of pot, nothing -- will matter.
We must deal with the fact that this situation has arisen through 30 years of fraud committed by both politicians and financiers in concert with The Fed that have intentionally distorted markets and lied to the public for the explicit purpose of skimming off more and more of the earnings power of the common man.  This has constituted an effective doubling of what the average person loses to "taxation" just in the last three years alone and the "benefit" of that taxation has gone to the banksters to cover up their insolvency-- just as the "Troika" money has in Greece -- rather than actually being spent on programs the voters have desired and clamored for!
The only issue that will matter if we do not address this right now is your Second Amendment rights, because with the inevitable failure of our government you will need to provide for your own personal defense at all times, as there will be no cops, no judges, no courtrooms and no juries -- but there will be lots of thugs.
No man and no woman running for public office is qualified to stand for that election until and unless they address this issue, explain how they're going to solve it and that they understand the inevitable consequences of doing so -- right here, right now, this year, not "in the intermediate term."
And they cannot, in doing so, resort to yet more fraudulent claims of infinite exponential growth.
If you haven't prepared yourself for the eventual collapse of our economy,I suggest you should!

'How The Economic Collapse Will Start'

Don't be deceived! If we don't get our fiscal house in order soon, even though they are those who still don't believe deficits matter, either this or another horrible scenario will play out against us.This can not go on forever,at some point we are going to have to face the music.

2012 Election Rigged!

Robert E. Lee Takes Command

On this day 150 years ago, after the battle of Fair Oaks where then commanding General Joeseph E. Johnston was grievously wounded,President Jefferson Davis placed in command of the Army of Northern Virgina,Robert E. Lee.No other decision would Davis make have a bigger impact on the war.

Lee brought an new aggressive spirit to the ANV.No longer would they wait and react to the actions of Army of the Potomac, but they would now take the initiative and seek to impose its will on the Army of the Potomac, going on the offensive.

The objectives Lee incorporated for the army were these.

 1.) Relieve Richmond.

 2.) Relieve Virgina.

3.) Invade the North.Thereby relieving Virgina, garnering much needed supplies, and bringing the war home to the North.

4.) At some point destroy the Army of the Potomac.

Lee succeeded in the first 3 objectives and coming close twice to accomplishing the 4th.

Due to limited resources and a small population from which to draw troop strength from,Lee understood -where many at that time didn't- that he had a very narrow window in which to try to win the war.For a little over a year the ANV dominated the Army of the Potomac, until it made its crest at Gettysburg.

Afterwards, with an severe lack of resources and ranks he could not fill,Lee changed his strategy. He sought to bludgeon the Army of the Potomac, attempting to destroy the North's will to fight.By using earthworks he maximized his troops against impossible odds,2 to 1,3 to 1,eventually 6-1He extended the war far longer than it should have lasted.

Robert E. Lee was this country's greatest general and probably, next to George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, the greatest man this country ever produced,IMHO.

'Time Bomb'

From CNBC:

US and European regulators are essentially forcing banks to buy up their own government's debt—a move that could end up making the debt crisis even worse, a Citigroup analysis says.
Regulators are allowing banks to escape counting their country's debt against capital requirements and loosening other rules to create a steady market for government bonds, the study says.
While that helps governments issue more and more debt, the strategy could ultimately explode if the governments are unable to make the bond payments, leaving the banks with billions of toxic debt, says Citigroup strategist Hans Lorenzen.
This is beyond belief. It is literally insane. This reminds me of a relative who sold his house for dope, unbelievable.

The Law Of Unintented Consequences

From David Ignatius:

As an intelligence operation, it must have seemed like pure genius: Recruit a Pakistani doctor to collect blood samples that could identify Osama bin Laden’s family, under cover of an ongoing vaccination program. But as an ethical matter, it was something else.
The CIA’s vaccination gambit put at risk something very precious — the integrity of public health programs in Pakistan and around the globe. It also added to the dangers facing nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in a world that’s increasingly hostile to U.S. aid organizations.
What’s gotten attention in America is the plight of Dr. Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani physician who helped the CIA through his vaccination campaign in the tribal areas and the nearby province where bin Laden was hiding. The doctor was sentenced last week to 33 years in prison for treason, prompting indignant protests from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
U.S. officials shouldn’t treat the Afridi case simply as outrageous behavior by Pakistan. They’re right that the doctor’s actions weren’t treasonous: He was seeking information about terrorist leaders who were Pakistan’s enemies. I hope he’ll be released, but in any event Afridi and his handlers should reckon with the moral consequences of what they did.
Here’s the painful truth: Some people may die because they don’t get vaccinations, suspecting that immunization is part of a CIA plot. The rate of polio infection is rising in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria, in part because people believe conspiracy theories about vaccination. If the spread can’t be reversed in these three countries, warns a recent World Health Organization report, “polio eradication will fail.”
100 years from now will history celebrate the death of  bin Laden,or will it mourn the loss of the opportunity to eradicate polio?History is full of what ifs!

'Two,Three,Many Obamas'

Victor Davis Hanson:
The fringe Birthers made outlandish claims for years that Obama was not born in the United States and therefore was not eligible to be president. But suddenly, after nearly four years of his presidency, we discover that for over a decade and a half Obama’s own publicity bio listed him as Kenyan-born. Why and how did this happen — given that authors customarily write their own autobiographies and have annual opportunities to edit them? Did Obama think that to fudge an identity might make his book on a mixed-race heritage more saleable in 1991, and then himself more exotic as a state legislator and senator in the ensuing 16 years — but for some reason not as a presidential candidate?
What is real and what is not? The Obama “composite” girlfriend who sort of existed and sort of did not? Was there one Obama named Barry and another who became Barack, one with the middle name Hussein that was taboo to utter in the campaign of 2008 and another with the middle name Hussein that after January 20, 2009, was supposed to resonate in the Muslim world?

One Obama was the constitutional-law professor at the prestigious University of Chicago; another was a part-time lecturer who never published and was rarely seen or heard at the law school. One Obama was a brilliant Harvard Law Review editor; another never wrote an article. One Obama had the highest IQ of any entering president and was indeed the smartest man we ever elected commander-in-chief; another Obama proved it by not releasing his college transcripts. One Obama is the fittest and most energetic of recent presidents; another Obama is the most secretive and reluctant about proving it through the customary releasing of medical records.
Why so secretive if there is nothing to hide?Imagine if Bush was this secretive? The MSM would be going bananas, hijacking press conferences, berating Bush constantly about his past, under the idiom of 'our right to know',or in Dan Rather's case,he would just fabricate a story and try to pass it off as fact.

If not for the truth, then for their own fame and fortune their has to be at least one Woodward or Bernstein in the media to go out and dig into this, finding their own 'Deepthroat' that would lead them to the truth, thus making a name for themselves? Is their not anyone in the MSM who is independent and not part of the Borg?

'The Deficit's Even Worse Than We Thought'

From the Indianapolis Star:
The federal deficit is worse -- much worse -- than you may think.
That's because there's government-style accounting, which reported an official deficit in the last budget year of $1.3 trillion.
Then there's real-world accounting, the kind that applies to businesses and state and local governments. By federal law and under accounting rules set by oversight boards, most entities have to include retirement commitments in their financial records.
But Congress and the president use a different set of rules (of course), so shortfalls in obligations such as Social Security and Medicare aren't included in the official deficit report.
USA Today, however, calculated the deficit with entitlement programs included. And the newspaper found -- are you ready, for this? Best hold on to something firm -- that the actual deficit last year was $5 trillion.
There's more -- and you really should sit down for this one. To cover the promises it has made to retirees and current workers, the federal government would need $22.2 trillion (yes, that's with a T) set aside in reserves and earning interest. Such reserves don't exist, of course. Instead, the government continues to pile up more debt, and at increasingly alarming rates.

Half Of U.S. Homes Are On The Government Dole

From The Wall Street Journal:
49.1%: Percent of the population that lives in a household where at least one member received some type of government benefit in the first quarter of 2011.
Cutting government spending is no easy task, and it’s made more complicated by recent Census Bureau data showing that nearly half of the people in the U.S. live in a household that receives at least one government benefit, and many likely received more than one.
This is the crux of the problem.Half of this country is living off the other half and borrowing from their children's and children's children's future to pay for it.Until half this nation is willing to vote itself a pay cut,we will be stuck with Big Government.

Benjamin Franklin said it best:

"When the people find that they can vote themselves money, that will herald the end of the republic."

Why Is The Federal Government Regulating Public Swimming Pools?

From The Washington Times:

Earlier this year, the Justice Department ruled that the Americans with Disabilities Act requires publicly accessible pools and spas have lifts, ramps or elevators, and gave a March deadline for compliance, sparking panic among hotels and community pools. As the deadline neared, and under pressure from Congress, the department issued an initial delay and then earlier this month said pools have until next year.
On Thursday, acting just ahead of the Memorial Day weekend that marks the traditional opening of many outdoor pools, the department went a step further and said the rules apply chiefly to future pools. Existing pools will only need to comply if it’s easy to do so.
What business is it of the federal government whether someone who is disabled has access to a public swimming pool?Isn't this the domain of the state government or better yet local municipal governments to regulate?Does the fate of the republic hinge on who can swim and who can't?

Also this from Steny Hoyer:

“For many Americans with disabilities, swimming pools are an important source of physical activity and emotional comfort,” said House Minority Whip Steny H. Hoyer, Maryland Democrat.
He told his colleagues that rolling back the rules “would constitute a serious setback to Americans with disabilities, including many of our veterans — and I want you to think about this — many of our veterans wounded while serving our nation overseas.”
This is where everybody gets mad as Hades with me.

By the mere definition of the word disabled, they are things you can no longer or never could do because you have a disabilty that denies you that abilty.Blind people can not see, therefore they can not drive.People who are paralyzed can not engage in an activiity that requires standing. They are disabled, nature and circumstances deny them.

Its one thing for a propietor of a swimming pool to deny acess to someone who is disabled, but its another thing entiely if someone is denied access by their disabilty. No business should be forced by the government to provide unreasonable aceess to their establishment to anyone, whether disabled or not,its a business not a charity.

For everyone who thinks I'm cold and heartless, just remember this, the market will provide.Someone, somewhere will find a way to make a profit from those who are disabled and want to swim and he or she will provide them the means to do so.In so doing they just might force others to provide the same means, competition is the great equalizer.

The Neo-Cons Are Getting Nervous

From a very popular conservative blog,Atlas Shrugs:
There is a Paulian putsch underway. I have been receiving alarming emails concerning an underhanded, anti-American Paul coup at the GOP convention.
From Virginia: "I'm running for delegate to the RNC convention in Tampa.  There is a serious Paulbot infestation in the GOP here in Virginia.  I'm spending a lot of time at GOP apparatchik meetings.  I've gotten the endorsement of the Conservative Coalition (I was the top vote-getter) and usually that is enough but not this cycle."
I recently touched upon it here: Paulbots Sabatoge Another Republican Caucus - Atlas Shrugs, but it is much bigger than that. Paul is a dangerous, self-deluded man and his followers behave like occupy fascists.
I may not have been Romney's first supporter, but I am his last supporter and fierce. I would have preferred someone more conservative, but Romney is going to be the GOP candidate, and next to Obama, Romney is the Ronald Reagan. Obama and Ron Paul would split the freak vote. Paul's putsch must be stopped. Ron Paul supports a nuclear Iran and the abandoment of Israel. What is the RNC doing?
Pamela Geller, you are a mental gymnast to draw these conclusions.A man who supports an America first foreign policy is anti-American.Someone who is operating by the rules is underhanded and is trying to stage a coup.Plus his 'followers' (supporters) who operate by the same rules also 'behave like occupy fascists.'He never attacks his opponents personally, but he is dangerous and self-deluded.Yes,Ron Paul is a menace to society and must be stopped at all hazards. Please!

For this mental somersault,Pammy, you win the gold medal though,"next to Obama,Romney is the Ronald Reagan."Next to Obama,Bill Clinton bears a striking resemblance to 'The Gipper.'But take Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, stand them up against Reagan, then tell me who is more like Reagan,it 'ain't' Romney.

Maybe,Pam,Ron Paul isn't the one who is self-delusional here?

The Bankster's Facebook Con

I am certainly no high finance expert by any means, but this whole business with Facebooks IPO stinks. The banksters on Wall Street knew Facebook's stock was over priced before it was offered publicly.Instead of informing all their investors,Morgan Stanley,JP Morgan, and Goldman Sachs, only let their 'sophisticated institutional investors'(their rich friends) know that Facebook was over hyped, while their 'smaller investors' (the working man) were left in the dark. The SEC and FINRA both say the will investigate, but nothing will come of it because the banksters have them in their hip pocket.

Wall Street is nothing more than an corrupt gambling house now and your a fool to gamble with them!

What Is Barack Obama Really Trying to Hide About His Past?

From In From the Cold:
But there's a larger issue at work here.  What type of individual lies about his background (or lets others do it for him) for the better part of two decades?  Writing at National Review, Mark Steyn likens Obama to Jay Gatsby, the F. Scott Fitzgerald character who invented a past that was most pleasing and convenient for him.  Steyn compares the aloof Obama to Fitzgerald's character, totally aloof as the social and political whirl spins about them.  In Steyn's words, "the more autobiographies [Mr. Obama writes] the less we know about him.  And obviously, what we do know about him has been carefully tested and contrived.

While we like the Gatsby analogy for Mr. Obama, we think there's one that is even more appropriate.  In some respects, Obama's vague (but storybook) past reminds us of Don Draper on AMC's Mad Men. Anyone remotely familiar with the series knows that Draper, the creative director of two major advertising agencies, has long held a dark secret.  He was born Dick Whitman, the illegitimate son of a prostitute who lived in poverty as a child and was abused by his stepfather.

After dropping out of high school, Whitman winds up in the Army during the Korean War, serving under a lieutenant named Don Draper.  When the real Draper is killed in a gasoline fire (and his body is burned beyond recognition), Whitman takes his dog tags and becomes the lieutenant, figuring it may give him a chance for a better life.  His deception goes unnoticed until one of Draper's agency rivals, Pete Campbell, learns his secret and reveals the news to the firm's senior partner, Bert Cooper, who shrugs it off. "Who cares?" he tells Campbell.

What exactly is Obama trying to hide?Is it simply that he is Kenyan born rather than Hawaiian or is there more?Could it be that there is something more darker and sinister lurking in his past than any of us could possibly imagine,or is it just something that is so embarrassing his insecure, fragile ego couldn't handle it?

We know Barack Obama doesn't cultivate personal relationships. He has no friends that we know of,certainly none he grew up with or knew while in school. He has no family that he assiocates with outside of his wife and 2 girls. The only types of relationships he seems to have formed are those of a political nature or that is beneficial to him in some way or another.Outside of Michelle, their is no one remotely close to him or knows anymore about him than the general public.

His past remains a fog.Obama released a birth certificate last year but questions still abound.According to Obama he lived in Hawaii til age 6,then he lived in Inodensia til 10,then he returned to Hawaii to attend the Punahou School, but no one remembers him.Obama still refuses to release his records from Harvard and Columbia university and again no one who attended those schools at that time remembers him.The only thing we know about 'Barry' outside of the approved biography is that he might of been dealing drugs in Harlem while attending Columbia, outside of that he is forgotten.

Their is something hidden in that fog, something more than just where Barack Obama was born and thats what I want to know.

Mitt Romney Is Trying To 'Purge' Ron Paul Delegates From The RNC

Doug Wead:
Remember my warning that there were votes in a locked box taken from the state convention in Arizona?  And that the Ron Paul victory there could be reversed if someone wanted to cheat?  Well they did, and we lost it.  I am gathering the facts and it is stunning, with 100 new ballots appearing out of the Romney ether.
Worse, there is evidence that the Ron Paul victory in Louisiana, a victory that even the media acknowledged and proclaimed to the world, may be reversed as well.  I will give you the details Monday.
Meanwhile, there is evidence of a full scale purge of any Ron Paul delegate, from any state, to the RNC.  If you are a delegate, keep your head down.  They are looking for you.  More on all of that this Monday.
You know these people have to be out of their mind if they think they are ENTITLED to my vote.

Yes We Do Need The Constitution

TL In Exile:
While I harp on the Constitution, I know that most of my blathering is just for those who think there is some legitimate means of resistance. I don't think we need it. We do not need to justify our actions through the Constitution, but others might.

We cannot go back to it, but we can demand that the ideals that spawned it are alive and held within the hearts of those patriots of today, because the Constitution is nothing other than a declaration of the power of the people over their government, not the other way around. If one understands and believes that the individual is supreme, what else needs to be established?

TPTB have twisted ever word, every intent to serve themselves, yet the words remain, plain and in simple terms to anyone who cares to read it. We don't. Forget it, it doesn't matter, because we are determined to have liberty through whatever means secures it, or death. That is the original intent of the Constitution, to provide the legitimacy for those who need it and the rest, like us, we don't need it. We know we are not free and nothing else matters.

Their are 3 things that I believe in with all my heart. One is the Holy Bible,it is the unadulterated, inerrant, and inspired Word of God.Another is the Declaration of Independence,it defines where our liberties come from -our 'Creator'-,the purpose of government, and secures to the people the right' to alter or abolish' any form of government 'that becomes destructive to these ends.'Finally I believe in the Constitution as originally constructed,it creates our Federal government, defining its form, purpose, and limitations, through its original intent our liberties are protected.

My question is when did the Constitution betray you,Mr. Davis? When did the Constitution as originally constructed ever steal your liberty?Yes,they have been those, beginning with Lincoln all they way to our present time, who have subverted it,trampled upon it,and manipulated it,who have stolen our liberty, but the Constitution didn't do it.For those who have ears to hear, the Constitution rebuked them for it,but we didn't heed it.The fault lies with 'We the people',not with the Constitution it self.

If not the Constitution, then what form of government do you suggest? What form of government can you come up with that would best secure our liberties to ourselves and our posterity? Not a better one.

As for me,Mr. Davis,I will trust James Madison and our Founding Fathers over you or any one else where our liberties are concerned.

'A Censored Race War'

Thomas Sowell:
A wave of such attacks in Chicago were reported, but not the race of the attackers or victims. Media outlets that do not report the race of people committing crimes nevertheless report racial disparities in imprisonment and write heated editorials blaming the criminal-justice system.
What the authorities and the media seem determined to suppress is that the hoodlum elements in many ghettoes launch coordinated attacks on whites in public places. If there is anything worse than a one-sided race war, it is a two-sided race war, especially when one of the races outnumbers the other several times over.
It may be understandable that some people want to head off such a catastrophe, either by not reporting the attacks in this race war, or by not identifying the race of those attacking, or by insisting that the attacks were not racially motivated — even when the attackers themselves voice anti-white invective as they laugh at their bleeding victims.
Trying to keep the lid on is understandable. But a lot of pressure can build up under that lid. If and when that pressure leads to an explosion of white backlash, things could be a lot worse than if the truth had come out earlier, and steps taken by both black and white leaders to deal with the hoodlums and with those who inflame them.

These latter would include not only race hustlers like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson but also lesser-known people in the media, in educational institutions, and elsewhere who hype grievances and make all the problems of blacks the fault of whites. Some of these people may think that they are doing blacks a favor. But it is no favor to anyone who lags behind to turn their energies from the task of improving and advancing themselves to the task of lashing out at others.
I tremble for my country. We are a powder keg waiting to explode and at some point someone is going to be successful in liting the fuse and all we loved will be be gone forever and the United States will be an epitaph written in the history books.God help us all.

'Bank Of America Abuses'

From TL In Exile:
The Bank of America is the country’s largest bank with assets of $2.3 trillion. This bank currently has $75 trillion in credit derivatives.

Here is a list of additional grievances:

This financial institution has been found guilty of laundering South American drug money in 2006 ($7.5 million settlement).
They received $20 billion in US Treasury support with an additional $118 billion government backstop to buy Merrill Lynch.
They failed to properly disclose employee bonuses and financial losses at Merrill Lynch before shareholders approved the merger of the companies: $150 million settlement with the SEC.
Bank of America Illegally Foreclosed on Active Service Members’ Homes. Settlement agreement was $20 million.
Their purchase of Countrywide resulted in a loss of $65 billion to stockholders.
They paid $335 million to settle Countrywide’s housing discrimination claims.
They paid $410 million to settle a class-action lawsuit affecting more than 13 million Bank of America customers who accused the bank of charging excessive overdraft fees for electronic transactions.
Bank of America moved approximately$18 trillion worth of derivative obligations from Merrill Lynch and the BAC holding company to the FDIC insured retail deposit division. This transfers the risk from the bank to the taxpayers since the FDIC cannot cover this amount.
Their executives are major donors to the president’s reelection campaign.
The president will give his acceptance speech for the Democrat nomination for president at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.
Warren Buffett injected $5 billion into Bank of America for special considerations for stock warrants and a 6% annual return for ten years. This bank's regular personal savings account pays 0.05% annually.
We propose the following actions to be taken immediately:
  1. Close out any personal or business accounts with Bank of America.
  2. If you are a business, do not accept their debit or credit cards for purchases.
  3. Sell your personal stock in this bank.
  4. If your retirement or mutual fund owns stock in this bank, request that they divest it from their portfolios.
  5. Help spread this effort in any manner that you can.
  6. Fill out the form at this link showing what actions you took based on this project.
I don't have any funds whatsoever in this den of thieves and if I did I would assuredly join in on this project. One point I would like to add though, don't just remove your money from BOA and then put it into another den of thieves,Mellon,Wells Fargo, etc. - all your doing is removing money from one beast and feeding another.Take your hard earned money and find a local state bank to do business with, feed your own community.

Also, for those of us who believe elections don't really matter anymore -because their is not much difference between the 2 major parties -the Democrats and Republicans- and this will continue until if and when people like Ron Paul wrest control of the GOP from the neo- cons- I have often thought the best path for those of us who are liberty minded is to follow the Polish Solidarity movement as our  example and this boycott of BOA is a step in the right direction.

Update:

Here is a link to an updated list of those who are taking their business elsewhere from Bank of America at Free North Carolina.

An Inmate Gets 40% Of The Vote Against Obama In The West Virgina Primary

This sounds like a crazy question from the Match Game,'people are so fed up with Obama, that instead of voting for him, they voted for a blank?'40% of Democrats in West Virgina answered that question by voting for a convicted extortioner,Keith Judd, over the sitting POTUS.Only Charles Nelson Riley answered differently,he voted for Rip Taylor.

The Hindenburg Disaster

From Yahoo:
On May 6, 1937, the Hindenburg airship burst into flames over a New Jersey field.  75 years later, the disaster remains a source of mystery and fascination.

The Hindenburg was one of the first disasters caught on film, thanks to newsreel coverage. It had an unmistakable effect on the masses (it doomed travel by airship) and remains one of the most iconic moments of the 20th century. Reporter Herbert Morrison's reaction, "Oh, the humanity," quickly became the stuff of legend.
While the explosion was tragic and many people died, there were more survivors than you might think. Of the 97 people onboard, 36 people died (including one member of the ground crew). Despite all the attention that went into the determining the cause of the explosion, much remains a mystery.

The Powder Keg Is Building

From Zero Hedge:
it is just getting sad now. In April the number of people not in the labor force rose by a whopping 522,000 from 87,897,000 to
88,419,000.  This is the highest on record. The flip side, and the reason why the unemployment dropped to 8.1% is that the labor force participation rate just dipped to a new 30 year low of 64.3%.
Almost 46% of working age adults are not employed, this is not good.In fact it would have been better if unemployment went up,rather than the labor force to shrink. This is a powder keg waiting to explode!

Crony Capitalist John Kerry

From The Washington Free Beacon:
Failed Democratic presidential nominee Sen. John Kerry’s (D., Mass.) long history of ethically dubious investments could invite controversy as he takes on a new role as a “top surrogate” for President Obama’s reelection campaign.
Kerry’s net worth as listed on his 2011 financial disclosure form is at least $193 million and likely much higher, making him the wealthiest member of the Senate. He is also a prolific investor, maintaining an array of stocks and other holdings through a mix of family trusts, marital trusts, and commingled fund accounts with his wife, Big Ketchup baroness Teresa Heinz.
The five-term Senator has a well-documented history of investing in companies that would benefit from policies he supports, as well as making conveniently timed and highly profitable trades coinciding with the passage of major legislation and, in some cases, the dissemination of privileged information.
For years, Kerry has invested millions in a number of green energy companies that have benefitted from the president’s efforts to aggressively subsidize the industry with taxpayer dollars.
These companies include Exelon, which received a $646 million taxpayer-guaranteed loan in 2011 to build a solar facility in California and created only 20 permanent jobs, as well as Fisker Automotive, the fledgling electric car company that offshored its manufacturing operation to Finland after receiving a $529 million federal loan guarantee in 2010.
The loan guarantees, approved by the Department of Energy, were made possible by funding allocated in the 2009 stimulus bill, which Kerry supported. According to Kerry’s own office, the Senator “played a key role” in crafting the portions of the legislation designed to offer federal support for green energy projects.
This is what you get when Washington gets to pick the winners and losers instead of the free markets, corruption.

White Guilt

Thomas Sowell:
In the midst of the Florida tragedy, there was a book published with the unwieldy title, No Matter What . . . They’ll Call This Book Racist. Obviously it was written well before the shooting in Florida, but its message — that there is rampant hypocrisy and irrationality in public discussions of race — could not have been better timed.
Author Harry Stein, a self-described “reformed white liberal,” raised by parents who were even further to the left, exposes the illogic and outright fraudulence that lies behind so much of what is said about race in the media, in politics, and in our educational institutions. He asks a very fundamental question: “Why, even after the Duke University rape fiasco, does the media continue to give credence to every charge of racism?”
Harry Stein credits Shelby Steele’s book White Guilt with opening his eyes to one of the sources of many counterproductive things said and done about race today — namely, guilt about what was done to blacks and other minorities in the past.
Let us talk sense, like adults. Nothing that is done to George Zimmerman — justly or unjustly — will unlynch a single black man who was tortured and killed in the Jim Crow South for a crime he didn’t commit.
Letting hoodlums get away with hoodlumism today does not undo a single injustice of the past. It is not even a favor to the hoodlums, for many of whom this is just the first step on a path that leads to the penitentiary, and maybe to the execution chamber.
Winston Churchill said, “If the past sits in judgment on the present, the future will be lost.” He wasn’t talking about racial issues, but what he said applies especially where race is involved.
In my humble opinion, one of the best ways to heal the racial divide in this country is for whites to stop feeling guilty about slavery and past racial crimes that we have had nothing to do with.I have never owned a slave!I have never lynched anyone!I have never been or ever will be a member of the Klan!Because of this,I refuse to be made to feel guilty for any act of racism committed by anyone at anytime!

Until white America has an epiphany, that they have done nothing wrong and have nothing to be ashamed of,they will continue to be held hostage by the race pimps, who profit from their guilty conscience. The day we let the past go and no longer seek forgiveness from blacks for the sins of our fathers, then we will look upon one another as equals and move forward to a more racially unified country.

Nailing Energy Producers To The Cross Of Big Government

From Michelle Malkin:

Environmental Protection Agency administrator Al Armendariz, an avowed greenie on leave from Southern Methodist University, gave a little-noticed speech in 2010 outlining his sadistic philosophy. “I was in a meeting once, and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting, but I’ll go ahead and tell you what I said,” he began. In a video obtained and released by Sen. James Inhofe (R., Okla.), Armendariz then shared his bloody analogy:
It was kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean. They’d go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they’d find the first five guys they saw, and they would crucify them. And then you know that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. . . . So, that’s our general philosophy.
Echoing President Obama’s “punch back twice as hard” treatment of his political enemies, Armendariz explained to his underlings: “You hit them as hard as you can, and you make examples out of them, and there is a deterrent effect there. And, companies that are smart see that, they don’t want to play that game, and they decide at that point that it’s time to clean up.”
In other words: Suck up, fly left, or face prosecution. The goal isn’t a cleaner environment. The goal is political incitement of fear.
The EPA,with the rest of the alphabet soup, bureaucratic agencies of tyranny, that RULE this country with an iron fist, not through the law,but through ordinances and regulations, need to be dumped on the ash heap of history!

'Your Silver Has Become Dross'

From Godfather Politics:
There was a time in our nation’s history (not long ago) when goods were purchased with gold and silver coins, or paper dollars that could be redeemed in gold and silver (gold and silver certificates representing owner‑ or bank‑held gold and silver). Gold coinage ceased in 1934 by governmental decree. The mints produced the last silver dollars in 1935; silver quarters, half‑dollars, and dimes were discontinued for general circulation in 1965.
The poor usually are the first affected by the debasement of money because they receive the ability to purchase goods when the effects of inflation already have ravaged the economy. The poor may be unemployed or hold low paying jobs with little or no increases in salary. If inflation increases 10‑15% per year and wages only 2‑5%, a reduction in purchasing power results. Of course, those not able to work or dependent on charity, experience an even more grievous condition. The Bible maintains that inflation has its greatest effects on widows and orphans:
“Your silver has become dross, your drink diluted with water. Your rulers are rebels, and companions of thieves; every one loves a bribe, and chases after rewards. They do not defend the orphan, nor does the widow’s plea come before them” (Isaiah 1:22–23).
The very policies instituted by politicians to help the poor created the massive debt that now has turned on the poor and made them even more dependent upon government assistance. To deliver the promised programs of prosperity, the federal government took our nation off the gold standard and inflated the dollar with more and more paper “currency,” since the gold standard prohibited our political leaders from tampering with the money supply.
When the official protector of weights and measures, the civil magistrate, disregards commandments regarding sound money, what stops the general populace from gouging the poor as well?
Isaiah 1:22-23 really hits the nail on the head where our government is concerned. How things change but they really stay the same.

Again, who is the ONLY candidate that supports sound money?Yes,you would be right,Ron Paul.

'Merchants Of Despair'

If we want those 30 million conservatives that do not vote to turn out in November,we need to stop nominating men like George H. W. Bush,Bob Dole,George W. Bush,John McCain, and this years presumptive nominee,Mitt Romney. In the case of Romney,I'm still 'hopeing against hope' Ron Paul will find enough delegates to at least force the GOP to find another nominee,if he can not be its nominee himself.

They Had 'Nothing To Do'

Mark Steyn puts the Secret Service scandal in Columbia in proper perspective:
Twenty-one U.S. public servants. Twenty-one Colombian whores. Unless a couple of the senior guys splashed out for the two-girl special. “Some of them were saying they didn’t know they were prostitutes,” explained Congressman Peter King, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee.
“Some are saying they were women at the bar.”
Amazing to hear government agents channeling Dudley Moore in Arthur: “You’re a hooker? I thought I was doing so well.” It turns out U.S. Secret Service agents are the only men who can walk into a Colombian nightclub and not spot the professionals. Are they really the guys you want protecting the president?
Congress is not happy about this. “It was totally wrong to take a foreign national back to a hotel when the president is about to arrive,” said Representative King.
It’s wrong to take a “foreign national” up to the room, but it would have been okay if she’d been from Des Moines? We’re all in favor of outsourcing, but in compliance with Section 27(e)viii of the PATRIOT Act this is the one job Americans will do?
With respect to the congressman, sometimes it helps to step back and consider the bigger picture. Why were 21 officials of the United States government able to enjoy a night of pleasure with 21 prostitutes, whether “foreign nationals” or all-American? The answer isn’t difficult. Indeed, one retired agent spelled it out: “They just didn’t have anything to do.”
So they did Dania Suarez and her friends instead.
The 21 dedicated public servants jetted in on the so-called car-planes, the big transports flying in the tinted-windowed black Suburbans for the presidential motorcade. The “car-plane” guys show up a few days in advance, but usually two weeks or so after the really advanced advance team has hit the ground. And there was nothing for them to do. There is no reason for them to be there.
And:
I’ve written before about the U.S. government’s motorcade culture. Just last month, it cost U.S. taxpayers half a million bucks to fly Obama and David Cameron to Dayton, Ohio, to pretend to enjoy a basketball game. I’ve attended previous “Summits of the Americas” and G7 meetings and other international confabs, and always heard the same story wearily retailed by representatives of the host nation — that the money-no-object Yanks are flying in a bigger and more disruptive presidential entourage than everybody else put together. At this point, the local official usually rolls his eyes, and mostly, but not always, leaves the thought unspoken:

“Americans! What do you expect?” The Queen routinely turns down requests from visiting U.S. presidents to reinforce the garden walls and replace the windows of Buckingham Palace — for an overnight stay. When the U.S. was the richest country on earth, the mad excess used to impress in a crude kind of way: If you’ve got it, flaunt it. Now it’s the Brokest Nation in History: America hasn’t got it, but still flaunts it. Which is kind of pathetic.Does more equal better? No. All eleven Secret Service johns had their “security clearances” canceled. That still leaves over 4 million Americans (or about 2 percent of the adult population) with “security clearances,” and, according to the director of national intelligence last October, just under 1.5 million federal employees with “top secret”clearances. Which helps explain why one army private was able singlehandedly to download bazillions of (admittedly mostly worthless) “secrets” for WikiLeaks. Imagine the entire population of New Zealand with security clearances, and the entire population of Philadelphia or Phoenix with “top secret” clearances.

And yet the more guys on the payroll, the less anyone does. For all the hooker-cavorting among a bored entourage with time on its hands, there was no one to proofread President Obama’s speech. So he stood up in public and attempted to pander to the Latins by referring to the sovereign British territory of the Falkland Islands by the designation of its temporary Argentine usurpers 30 years ago: “Las Malvinas.” Except that his writers got it wrong. So the president of the United States called it “the Maldives,” an entirely different bit of British Commonwealth real estate half a world away in the Indian Ocean. Were the speechwriting staff also face down in the hooker bar? “Jush a minute, baby. Hic. The preshhhiduh wansh a couple rewrites. ‘I call on London to return British Columbia to Colombia.’ Thash should do it. Lesh go back to my room and I’ll show you my prompter.”
It’s not just the entitlements. Everywhere you look in the bloated federal Leviathan, all is waste, all is excess. But the absurd imperial presidency is a good place to start. The next citizen-executive of this republic would be sending a right message were he to halve the motorcade, halve the security detail, halve the hookers.
While everyone in the MSM wants to know what the Secret Service did while in Columbia? The important question is why did we need so many of them their to begin with?
