'So Who Needs Romney?'

Ever since Rand Paul endorsed Romney I have been really depressed.Ron Paul seems to have left his supporters hanging, refusing to stand up on their behalf against the establishment, while they are out in the trenches literally risking life and limb.I'm really disappointed in Ron Paul over this, but that's water over the dam.

One thing Romney and the establishment needs to understand, just because Rand endorsed you doesn't mean that WE -those of us who have supported Ron Paul- will follow in his foot steps.Doug Weed makes this point clear:
Establishment Republicans and the main stream media are having a difficult time understanding why Ron Paul supporters aren’t just falling into line behind Mitt Romney.  Don’t we want the GOP to win?  And don’t we want our own candidate to win the nomination someday?  And if so, don’t we realize that we have to be loyal to the nominee this time?
Of course, these are the same establishment Republicans who are hiring off duty policemen to arrest and detain our duly elected county chairmen, or locking the registered rolls of delegates in the trunks of their cars so that the convention cannot have a roll call vote and they can claim “Ayes have it,” when the “Ayes” don’t have anything.
And this is the mainstream media that gave Ron Paul 89 seconds of an hour long televised debate.  And who in another debate, gave their anchor almost as much time as Dr. Paul, the presidential candidate.  And who ignore videotaped state conventions where delegates have their bones broken for more compelling news stories elsewhere.
We see the train headed toward a canyon and the bridge is out.  There is going to be a great crash.  And meanwhile, we are being urged to change the engineer.  “Obama is driving this train 100 mph!” we are told by hand wringing, hysterical, establishment Republicans.  “We need to get Romney in there.  He will slow it down to 95.”
One point I would like to add to this, while the establishment love to demand that we fall in line and support the nominee, this is something they rarely do.When Christine O'Donnell won the Delaware primary in 2010 the 'All-Stars' on Fox attacked her viciously. When Lisa Murkowski lost to Joe Miller in the Alaska GOP primary, she didn't accept the result, she ran as a independent in the general election. Not to mention the attacks upon Sarah Palin and others that came from the GOP.

We don't owe them anything and its going to be a pretty cold place in you know where before I vote for Romney!

The Obama Campaign: All Knowing,All Seeing

What does the Obama campaign and Santa Clause have in common, beside a penchant for giving out goodies? They both know when your sleeping. They know when your awake. They know who your friends are. They even know who your mother voted for.Well scratch the last 2,even Santa respects your right to privacy, unlike the Obama campaign.

'The Keynesian Case For Romney'

From the Washington Post:
But Romney, though he often buys into that sort of nonsense while criticizing Obama, knows better. Time magazine asked him about cutting spending in 2013. “If you take a trillion dollars for instance, out of the first year of the federal budget, that would shrink GDP over 5 percent,” Romney said. “That is by definition throwing us into recession or depression. So I’m not going to do that, of course.” You couldn’t have gotten a clearer definition of Keynesian budgeting from Obama.
There’s a good chance that a Romney administration would extend both Bush and Obama’s tax cuts and delay the scheduled spending cuts. Congress would raise the debt ceiling after Romney promised congressional Republicans that he’d sign some variant of Paul Ryan’s budget as soon as it’s sent to him. Somewhere along the way, Romney would pass both more short-term tax cuts and a long-term transportation bill — something Republicans have been blocking under Obama — that doubles as an infrastructure package and includes, to secure Republican support, the Keystone XL oil pipeline.
Nor is it clear that this will come at the cost of harsh deficit reduction in coming years. There will almost certainly be deep spending cuts if Romney is president, but both the Romney and Ryan proposals include trillions of dollars in unpaid-for tax cuts and defense spending. If Republicans clear that hurdle by simply assuming that deep tax cuts will lead, through supply-side magic, to larger revenues, their deficit-reduction plans might well end up increasing the deficit over the next few years. “Remember,” wrote Business Insider’s Joe Weisenthal, “Republicans were pro-deficit, and pro-entitlement expansion under Bush and Reagan. Deficit cutting only became part of the party’s ideology under Obama.”
Compared to anything Obama is likely to get from a Republican House, that is, at least in the short term, a much more expansionary, Keynesian approach. But it’s also an awful precedent. In a sense, Republicans are holding a gun to the economy’s head and saying, “vote for us or the recovery gets it.”
That might well prove an effective political strategy: The more they say that they’re willing to let the debt ceiling expire and the economy run over the fiscal cliff, the more businesses will pull back and households will stop spending in order to make sure they have enough cash on hand to ride out another crisis. That will further depress the economy this year, making it more likely that Romney wins, and that Republicans embrace the smooth Keynesian glide path that they’re denying Obama.
Electing Mitt Romney in November is no different than giving Obama a 2nd term. The GOP talks spending cuts but has of yet to produce any.

'Winning The Battle - Losing The War'

Every news outlet is reporting that Romney has secured the GOP nomination with his win in the Texas Primary. That's not really true though.

Ive said this before. If Romney and company expect my vote come November they have to be out of their minds, after trying to silence mine and millions of others vote in the GOP delegate process.

The Neo-Cons Are Getting Nervous

From a very popular conservative blog,Atlas Shrugs:
There is a Paulian putsch underway. I have been receiving alarming emails concerning an underhanded, anti-American Paul coup at the GOP convention.
From Virginia: "I'm running for delegate to the RNC convention in Tampa.  There is a serious Paulbot infestation in the GOP here in Virginia.  I'm spending a lot of time at GOP apparatchik meetings.  I've gotten the endorsement of the Conservative Coalition (I was the top vote-getter) and usually that is enough but not this cycle."
I recently touched upon it here: Paulbots Sabatoge Another Republican Caucus - Atlas Shrugs, but it is much bigger than that. Paul is a dangerous, self-deluded man and his followers behave like occupy fascists.
I may not have been Romney's first supporter, but I am his last supporter and fierce. I would have preferred someone more conservative, but Romney is going to be the GOP candidate, and next to Obama, Romney is the Ronald Reagan. Obama and Ron Paul would split the freak vote. Paul's putsch must be stopped. Ron Paul supports a nuclear Iran and the abandoment of Israel. What is the RNC doing?
Pamela Geller, you are a mental gymnast to draw these conclusions.A man who supports an America first foreign policy is anti-American.Someone who is operating by the rules is underhanded and is trying to stage a coup.Plus his 'followers' (supporters) who operate by the same rules also 'behave like occupy fascists.'He never attacks his opponents personally, but he is dangerous and self-deluded.Yes,Ron Paul is a menace to society and must be stopped at all hazards. Please!

For this mental somersault,Pammy, you win the gold medal though,"next to Obama,Romney is the Ronald Reagan."Next to Obama,Bill Clinton bears a striking resemblance to 'The Gipper.'But take Mitt Romney and Ron Paul, stand them up against Reagan, then tell me who is more like Reagan,it 'ain't' Romney.

Maybe,Pam,Ron Paul isn't the one who is self-delusional here?

Mitt Romney Serves Up The Kool-Aid To The NRA

Mitt Romney:
Referring specifically to the right to bear arms, Romney said: "If we are going to safeguard our Second Amendment, it is time to elect a president who will defend the rights President Obama ignores or minimizes. I will."
Mittens hasn,t always supported the 2nd Amendment:

Mitt Romney is the Republican party's version Bill Clinton, with the exception of being a whore monger.Willard will say and do anything to be elected POTUS.

The Charade Of 'The Mommy Wars'

From The republican Mother:
I love it when they make the Hegelian Dialectic so clear. They're going to use the mommy war card, full of guilt and self-righteousness. Emotions triggered, brain turned off. Saying that raising five kids,  is hard work is supposed to put her in the good graces of socially conservative America. That's what they're planning up there at Elite-ville. Let's get the women vote riled up to turn out one way or another. Working on the ol' conservative base only after of making your life story both a punchline and punching bag for honesty is quite a lot of audacity.

Munching my popcorn watching the WWF spectacle that has become American politics, and wondering why more people can't see how totally phony all this is? You think I'd vote for these Romney Goldman Sachs characters because Obama is so awful. Honeychild, Awful left the train station 99 years ago, and there's nothing that any man, woman or child can really do about it individually at this point. I'll still be pulling for Paul because he's earned my respect. That, and I got to see how this delegate soap opera is going to go. Don't listen to what the MSM
This is just another shell game, designed to distract us from the real problems most conservatives and libertarians have with Mitt Romney and the direction of this country.Never mind that day by day our money is becoming more worthless.Never mind we owe more money than their is in the whole world in the national debt.Never mind that our very own freedoms are constantly under assault from both Democrats and Republicans. What we should be really worried about is whether Ann Romney as a stay at home mom had a real job.Never fail though, the sheepeople that conservatives have become are drinking it up faster than the cool-aid Jim Jones served up to his followers.

This Is What Happens When You Don't Fully Vett A Candidate

One of the common memes about this primary season is,'at least Mitt got vetted.'Wrong! We discussed Romneycare,Mitt's flip-flops,we were even discussed Mitt's wealth, but at no time did we ever discuss Mitt's Mormon faith.Since we didn't discuss it,the left will discuss it:
Unlike Da Tech Tech Guy, who saw this coming long ago, some Republicans were shocked — shocked! – by Lawrence O’Donnell’s Tuesday night anti-Mormon rant. Others were mystified as to why, in an appearance with Jay Leno, Meet the Press host David Gregory casually asserted that Mormonism ”is the core of who Mitt Romney is” and – oh, just by the way, Jay — did you know Mitt was actually an LDS bishop?
These remarks by O’Donnell and Gregory were rather unsubtle hints of what our liberal media friends are chatting about amongst themselves, and perhaps some Republicans are too stupid to imagine how this meme might make its way into Serious Journalism. But here’s the trick: Rather than raising the subject themselves, liberals will introduce the topic of Mitt’s Mormonism by referencing criticism from evangelical Christians.
Bill Clinton was asked, back in 1992,whether he wore boxers or briefs?Mitt is going to be asked whether he wears woolen undergarments or not? Also,in conjunction with same-sex marriage,Mitt will be asked whether he supports polygamy or not?How about this one, does Mitt believe Jesus and Satan were brothers?or maybe this one, will you be a god of your own planet or not when you die?All this and more is coming Mitt's way very soon.

'Trayvon Martin Carnival'

From The Other McCain:

Am I the only one who sees the Trayvon Martin carnival in this context? Liberals have turned the case into a sort of public festival, a self-congratulatory celebration of their own moral superiority. And they have arranged the symbolic elements of the narrative so that to criticize them — the shameless media moralizers — is to become implicated in George Zimmerman’s presumed guilt.
They are using the corpse of Trayvon Martin as a human shield to conceal their ideological agenda and protect themselves against criticism.
They are 3 reasons,as I can see, that the left is hyping this shooting.

1.) Race is big business on the left. The likes of Jesse Jackson,Al Sharpton, and others have enriched themselves on racism.By using racial discord, they have shaken down businesses, organizations, individuals, and governments, from which they have accrued a fortune. They sense a jackpot here.

2.) They are strengthening their hand for November. One of the last weapons Obama has left in his arsenal is the race card.Obama is going to try to paint whoever his opponent is in November as a bigot. This will not only help drive a large black turnout, but play on white guilt as well, helping to sway the independents his way -because nobody wants to be called a racist.

3.) This is part of the lefts on going assault on the 2nd amendment. They are trying to use this and any other shooting they can manipulate to further restrict your right to keep and bear arms -in this case they are targeting the so called 'stand your grounds' laws.

Also,we shouldn't fall into the trap of defending George Zimmermann's innocence, analyzing video looking for cuts and bruises. He may very well be innocent but their is still a lot we do not know about this case.

What we need to focus our attention upon is to not let the left manipulate this whole situation and force more gun control legislation down our throats. That is the real threat here.

The Compassion Of Dr. Ron Paul

Some racist bigot, huh? How many of Ron Paul detractors would have helped this man and his wife at no charge to them, assuming the hospital bill himself?Very few of them!

Why Does J.E.B. Bush Matter?

To have heard the talking heads this week, you would have thought Ronald Reagan had arisen from the grave and endorsed Mitt Romney for president, but it was only J.E.B.Why is he such a big deal?Is it because he represents the Bush family seal of approval? The Bushes,George H.W. and George W.,are as much responsible for the mess this country is in as Carter,Clinton, and Obama. Why would we want anymore of them?

Why Mitt Romney Will Lose To Barack Obama Come November

From The New Republic:
Curiously overlooked, though, is just what a shift this rhetoric is from the approach that Romney took on the issue of gas prices while governor of Massachusetts. Befitting his profile as a moderate Republican who cared about the environment, Governor Romney responded to price spikes by describing them as the natural result of global market pressures and by calling for increases in fuel efficiency—the same approach that he now derides Obama for taking as president.
Hat tip to Protein Wisdom.

Obama said this referring to Obamacare, from CNN:

"We designed a program that actually previously had support of Republicans, including the person who may end up being the Republican standard bearer and is now pretending like he came up with something different," the president said.
Hat tip to Hot Air.

This is Mitten's problem, alot of what Obama supports now,Mitt supported it before him.How in the world is he going to contrast himself as an alternative, when he held the very same postions a short time ago?

This says it best:

Why I'm Voting For Ron Paul

In the beginning I was hoping that Sarah Palin would enter the race, but she chose not to.After looking at all of the 'approved' candidates,I found they were conservatives in name only, more of a continuation of George W. Bush.So I decided to vote for my ideals and convictions instead of a personality.

I decided to vote for Constitutional government.A government that is clearly defined, with limits on what it could do and not do.A government that is committed to protecting my God given rights.

I decided to vote for sound money.A currency that is stable, that is able to retain its value over time, and able to resist inflation.

To have a sound currency,I decided to vote against the Fed.A cabal that chooses inflation to a strong dollar, that's does nothing but erode wealth, the life savings of our elderly.

Most importantly I decided to vote for freedom.Free markets, free speech, freedom of religion,I'm voting for the right to be my own master, and not be a ward of the state.Today our government has criminalized freedom.I cannot speak what I wish or it maybe labeled 'hate speech.'The government assumes criminal intent when I purchase a firearm.I am assumed to be a terrorist if I fly and don't meet the TSA's approval. On and on I'm a criminal,if I choose to live free.

These are the reasons I am voting for Ron Paul, because I simply want to live free.

GOP Twit Of The Year

It looks like Mitt Romney will be the GOP nominee and will wind up shooting himself in November.Rick Santorum still has run himself over and Newt can't seem to wake up the conservative base.Ron Paul (who is NOT A TWIT) came earlier to run a marathon and the MSM didn't cover it.

Crony Capitalist Mitt Romney

This video displays exactly what is wrong with America, crony capitalism.Welfare isn't just for the poor. Most of the major corporate players have enriched themselves at the expense of the public. For instance,Mr. Raise My Taxes,Warren Buffett got a 600 million dollar loan, with no intrest, and 34 years before he has to pay a dime back, from the Federal government.Mitt is just more of the same.

This video also shows that Mitt Romney will say and do anything to be elected POTUS.

Ron Paul And The Hobbit Conspiracy

The latest conspiracy theory that's being floated around -primarily by the Rick Santorum campaign- is that Ron Paul and Mitt Romney have a secret compact. The secret agreement would have Ron Paul attack only Santorum and Gingrich, leaving Romney untouched and handing him the GOP nomination. In return for this,Mitt Romney would name Ron Paul as his running mate.

This is not only laughable but absurd. From The republican Mother, this quote by Doug Wead, answers this absudity best:

"Ron Paul would throw the Ring of Power into Mount Doom."
"If 22 years of lobbyists, women, and ego temptations in Congress didn't corrupt Ron Paul, you actually think that Mitt Romney can corrupt him?"

How Ron Paul Would Effectively End Abortion In America

Ron Paul:
"To summarize my views--I believe the federal government has a role to play," said Paul. "I believe Roe v. Wade should be repealed. I believe federal law should declare that life begins at conception. And I believe states should regulate the enforcement of this law, as they do other laws against violence."
"I don't see the value in setting up a federal police force on this issue any more than I do on other issues," Paul said. "The Fourteenth Amendment was never intended to cancel out the Tenth Amendment. This means that I can’t agree that the Fourteenth Amendment has a role to play here, or otherwise we would end up with a 'Federal Department of Abortion.' Does anyone believe that will help life? We should allow our republican system of government to function as our Founders designed it to: protect rights at the federal level, enforce laws against violence at the state level.
"As President, I will sign and aggressively advocate for a law that removes abortion from the jurisdiction of the federal courts," said Paul. "This approach, done by simple majority vote and stroke of my Presidential Pen, would effectively overturn Roe v. Wade and allow states to pass strong pro-life legislation immediately. Millions of lives would be saved by this approach while we fight to make every state a right to life state."
While most Pro-Life Republicans talk a good game, they rarely do anything to actually stop abortions.Ron Paul is not only Pro-Life,but he has a plan, that is not only capable of ending this scourge in our country,it is also Constitutional.Tell me who is the most Pro-Life candidate?
