As an intelligence operation, it must have seemed like pure genius: Recruit a Pakistani doctor to collect blood samples that could identify Osama bin Laden’s family, under cover of an ongoing vaccination program. But as an ethical matter, it was something else.
The CIA’s vaccination gambit put at risk something very precious — the integrity of public health programs in Pakistan and around the globe. It also added to the dangers facing nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in a world that’s increasingly hostile to U.S. aid organizations.
What’s gotten attention in America is the plight of Dr. Shakil Afridi, the Pakistani physician who helped the CIA through his vaccination campaign in the tribal areas and the nearby province where bin Laden was hiding. The doctor was sentenced last week to 33 years in prison for treason, prompting indignant protests from Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
U.S. officials shouldn’t treat the Afridi case simply as outrageous behavior by Pakistan. They’re right that the doctor’s actions weren’t treasonous: He was seeking information about terrorist leaders who were Pakistan’s enemies. I hope he’ll be released, but in any event Afridi and his handlers should reckon with the moral consequences of what they did.
Here’s the painful truth: Some people may die because they don’t get vaccinations, suspecting that immunization is part of a CIA plot. The rate of polio infection is rising in Pakistan, Afghanistan and Nigeria, in part because people believe conspiracy theories about vaccination. If the spread can’t be reversed in these three countries, warns a recent World Health Organization report, “polio eradication will fail.”

100 years from now will history celebrate the death of  bin Laden,or will it mourn the loss of the opportunity to eradicate polio?History is full of what ifs!

Where in the Constitution do “suspicious patterns” – otherwise undefined and outside the jurisdiction of our courts – allow the government to put large and growing numbers of us into databases for future tracking?
Indeed, Radack writes, this gossamer of “information” is being stored “on Americans who are not even thinking about committing a crime.”
As of this writing, Mitt Romney appears very likely to be the Republicans’ choice to thwart President Barack Obama’s desire for a second term. Have you heard any objection from him on this purge of privacy?
And which government agency will lead in this final death sentence for the Fourth Amendment? Emerging from its customary deep secrecy is our nation’s (and probably the world’s) most immense spy center, the National Security Agency.

At some point we all have to admit that the 'war on terror' has grown to be a bigger threat to our liberties and our way of life than Al-Qaeda ever has been.

I hate to agree with the 'king of hype',Geraldo Rivera,but he is right.Their is absolutely nothing to be gained by staying in Afghanistan one more day but a mounting causality list.But ALLAHPUNDIT over at HOT AIR disagrees:

One is two more years to turn the Afghan National Army into a force that’s ready and willing to fight to the death for a government that’s best known for profligate graft and vote-rigging. Yes,we should stay and fight for pride.That's a legitimate reason to risk our soldiers lives,all so men like you can smote your breast and say,'at least we left on our timetable.'What an absolute pile of bull excrement!

Every CINC has an obligation to the troops that he commands,not to needlessly expend their lives in a battle they cannot win.Whether we leave Afghanistan now or 2 years from now,it will not effect the outcome there.Afghanistan will either grow worse or remain the same as it is today,with or without us.Their is nothing our troops can do to alter the situation there.The only thing left to do is to get out with the minimum amount of damage incurred and loss of life.Their is no pride and honor in losing 1 more American in Afghanistan.

In the last couple of months, two prominent politicians of different nations visiting their troops on the ground have used the same image to me for Western military bases: crusader forts. Behind the fortifications, a mini-West has been built in a cheerless land: There are Coke machines and Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Safely back within the gates, a man can climb out of the full RoboCop and stop pretending he enjoys three cups of tea with the duplicitous warlords, drug barons, and pederasts who pass for Afghanistan’s ruling class. The visiting Western dignitary is cautiously shuttled through outer and inner perimeters, and reminded that even here there are areas he would be ill-advised to venture unaccompanied, and tries to banish memories of his first tour all those years ago when aides still twittered optimistically about the possibility of a photo op at a girls’ schoolroom in Jalalabad or an Internet start-up in Kabul.
The last crusader fort I visited was Kerak Castle in Jordan a few years ago. It was built in the 1140s, and still impresses today. I doubt there will be any remains of our latter-day fortresses a millennium hence. Six weeks after the last NATO soldier leaves Afghanistan, it will be as if we were never there. Before the election in 2010, the New York Post carried a picture of women registering to vote in Herat, all in identical top-to-toe bright blue burkas, just as they would have looked on September 10, 2001. We came, we saw, we left no trace. America’s longest war will leave nothing behind.
They can breach our security, but we cannot breach theirs — the vast impregnable psychological fortress in which what passes for the Pashtun mind resides. Someone accidentally burned a Koran your pals had already defaced with covert messages? Die, die, foreigners! The president of the United States issues a groveling and characteristically clueless apology for it? Die, die, foreigners! The American friend who has trained you and hired you and paid you has arrived for a meeting? Die, die, foreigners! And those are the Afghans who know us best. A Landfill And A Soccer Field

Some small portions of unidentified human remains recovered from the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the Pentagon and in Shanksville, Pa., were incinerated and ultimately dumped in a landfill, the Defense Department acknowledged Tuesday.

This is absolutely unacceptable and those remains should have been handled with respect!.My God,we gave Osama bin Laden a Muslim funeral before we buried him at sea for crying out loud,couldn't we have at least buried these remains as unknown somewhere.

But while we heaved the remains of those who died on 9/11 in a trash pit,we found a way to build a $750 thousand soccer field for those who helped to perpetrate those attacks at Guantanamo.Our priorities are absolutely upside down.

The Safe Haven Of Islam

All hell has broken lose in Afghanistan over copies of the Quran being burned 'inadverdtly' by U.S. personnel.President Obama has tried to quell the outrage by offering an apology,saying he intended to hold 'accountable those responsible.'In return the Afghans held 2 U.S. servicemen 'accountable',murdering a colonel and a major.

But were the Korans burned 'inadverdtly' to begin with?It seems that the prisoners at the Parwan Detention Facility were 'exchanging hidden messages' using the Quran.

This is the M.O. for Islamic terrorist world wide.They use the Quran,mosques,and anything assiocated with their religion,to mask and cover their activity's.When their activity's are interfered with,they stand up with outrage in defence of Islam.

Barack Obama,and for that matter George W. Bush,have made a serious mistake by omitting Islam altogether from the war on terror.Instead,we should have drawn a distinction between radical Islam from Islam in general and taken on the radical elements in or out of Islam.

Whether here or Afghanistan,in their mosques or in the pages of th Quran,we have given our enemies a safe haven within our very midst,were they may launch an attack against us.

TSA 'Detains' Sen. Rand Paul And Violates The Constitution

Paul’s office confirmed he set off  an airport security full-body scanner “on a glitch,” according to a spokesman.
The Paul staffer said TSA agents would not let Paul walk back through the body scanner and were demanding a full body pat-down.
The Paul spokesman said his office called TSA administrator John Pistole about the incident this morning.
The U.S. Constitution actually protects federal lawmakers from detention while they’re on the way to the Capital.
“The Senators and Representatives…shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same….” according to Article I, Section 6.
The Senate is back in session today at 2 p.m., with votes scheduled at 4:30 p.m. It is not clear if Paul will make it to Washington by 4:30 p.m. on his new flight.

This is yet another example of the absurdity of the whole airport screening process.Instead of looking for terrorist.our government is more interested in harassing people and exerting its own power,whether it violates the Constitution or not.

“I have sat back and assessed the incident with the video of our Marines urinating on Taliban corpses. I do not recall any self-righteous indignation when our Delta snipers Shugart and Gordon had their bodies dragged through Mogadishu. Neither do I recall media outrage and condemnation of our Blackwater security contractors being killed, their bodies burned, and hung from a bridge in Fallujah.

“All these over-emotional pundits and armchair quarterbacks need to chill. Does anyone remember the two Soldiers from the 101st Airborne Division who were beheaded and gutted in Iraq?

“The Marines were wrong. Give them a maximum punishment under field grade level Article 15 (non-judicial punishment), place a General Officer level letter of reprimand in their personnel file, and have them in full dress uniform stand before their Battalion, each personally apologize to God, Country, and Corps videotaped and conclude by singing the full US Marine Corps Hymn without a teleprompter.

“As for everyone else, unless you have been shot at by the Taliban, shut your mouth, war is hell.”

While Obama Crowed,Al-Qaeda Got Away

US NAVY Seals have revealed for the first time that they killed Osama Bin Laden within 90 seconds of entering his fortress-like home in Pakistan.

The men who killed the al-Qaeda chief have decided to speak out because they are tired of their "shabby treatment" by politicians who claim they were on a "kill mission."

They insisted there was no lengthy gun-fight in the compound and claimed they would have captured Bin Laden if he had surrendered, The Sunday Times in the UK reports (behind a paywall).

They were not on a "kill mission", they said, and fired only 12 bullets in the entire operation.

The details of the mission, which was codenamed Operation Neptune’s Spear, are revealed in a book by the Seals' former commander, Chuck Pfarrer.

"I've been a Seal for 30 years and I never heard the words 'kill mission'. It's a fantasy word. If it was a kill mission you don’t need Seal Team 6; you need a box of hand grenades."

He said the men were angry with President Barack Obama for announcing Bin Laden’s death on TV just hours after they completed the mission on May 1.
"There isn't a politician in the world who could resist trying to take credit for getting Bin Laden but it devalued the 'intel' and gave time for every other Al-Qaeda leader to scurry to another bolthole," he said.

"The men who did this and their valorous act deserve better. It's a pretty shabby way to treat these guys."

We were regaled over and over again by administration insiders after another,on how "tough" and difficult a decision it was for Obama to give the OK to get Bin-Laden.Now we find out if Obama would have just sat on the information,just for a little while,we may have been able to bag more than just Bin-Laden,maybe Al-Qaeda's command as well.The real tough decision would have been to keep quiet and let our forces finish their job,but like a rooster at the break of dawn,our ego-manic CINC had to go and spill the beans.

'Islam is a Poison That is Killing The West.Western Civilization is Worth Fighting For - Will We?':

 Does our exceptionalism derive from our laws, in which case if we compromise our laws then we given up the only worthwhile thing about us and there is nothing more to fight for– or are our laws the means by which we protect our individual and national exceptionalism?

What makes us execptional and the law:

We are not better than they are because we guarantee civil rights to our enemies– we are better than they are because of Michelangelo, the microchip and universal education. We are better than they are because of Shakespeare, the space shuttle and the World Trade Center. We are better for all the reasons around us, the accomplishments, the achievements, the knowledge we have gained and the society we have built.



Our laws were crafted to protect these achievements, the exceptionalism of the individual from the government, and that of the nation from internal and external enemies. The laws have no individual life apart from the culture of the nation that created them and maintains them. It would be possible to transpose the United States Constitution to Indonesia, Libya or Pakistan and it wouldn’t last a single day there. No mere document can safeguard rights and freedoms that a culture does not value, and no culture that does not value them is deserving of their protection if such protection has the cumulative effect of destroying those same rights and freedoms.

Shouldn't we be tolerant of other cultures?:

Tolerance and civil rights are worthless unless the countries and cultures where they are expressed are also defended. Any form of tolerance which leads to its own destruction is not only poisonous to a host culture, but is also literarily self-destructive. All healthy entities whether biological, organizational or intellectual contain the means for their own continuance and self-perpetuation. Any entity which does not is poisonous and must be treated as such, and to defend any idea or code above the survival of the culture that carries it is a homicidal act.

This is what I don't get about those on the left and some on the right,that Muslim's in the Middle-East are not angry because we are there,but they are angry with us because of who we are.


This is my major concern about Ron Paul.He thinks that if we just leave them alone,they will leave us alone.That is naive and will never happen.They are at war with us and want to see the absolute destruction of Western Civilization and they will succeed if we don't stand up and defend it.

The War on Terror is a culture war.It is a war to determine whether Western culture will dominate the world or Islamic culture.Its a clash of civilization's and only one will be left standing in the end.God help the world if Western Civilization passes into the dust heap of history and Islam comes to dominate the world.

Furthermore,it wasn't until after 9/11 that George W. Bush invaded Afghanistan and Iraq,or bombed anyone.If 9-11 was a response to our bombing,then it must be Bill Clinton fault not W's.
