One of the Secret Service supervisors who were ousted from the agency this week for their involvement in the Colombia prostitution scandal made light of his official protective work on his Facebook page, joking about a picture of himself standing watch behind Sarah Palin. My problem here,is not that the Secret Service supervisor was 'checking out' Sarah Palin. My problem is that the agent shouldn't have been on Facebook to begin with.
The Secret Service deals in sensitive information and with sensitive subjects,as well with protecting the life of the POTUS and his family and other high ranking government officials. For any agent to put themselves on Facebook, putting personal information on the World Wide Web for the whole world to see,is providing an opportunity for themselves to be compromised. This is not just foolish but dangerous!
